I bought an e-sim through Trip.com and it was so convenient to use when having my vacation in the Philippines. Though I can not call using usual SIM card, I can call them in the messenger. The signal is strong also. I will use this e-sim once again.

Very convenient. Turn on roaming and you're always connected. 95% of the time, with internet access. The exception is when traveling long distances by sea.
