Reviews: From Delhi: Sunrise Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Baby Taj Private Day Tour by Car (with Options)
Guest User2026-03-21
I booked a day tour from New Delhi to the Taj Mahal through Ctrip. The tour included a car, driver, and guide for the two of us, and entrance fees and lunch. The outbound journey took three hours, and the return trip, including airport transfer, took four hours. Since we had an evening flight, we only visited the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, skipping the smaller Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was truly breathtaking, a world-class heritage site. The white marble building is majestic and solemn, with exquisite carvings and gemstone inlays. Coupled with the ancient love story, it's poignant and romantic, definitely worth a visit. Agra Fort is a red fort, somewhat rustic compared to the Taj Mahal, but it offers a distant view of the Taj Mahal. I had some concerns before the trip, but communicating with customer service throughout the process alleviated many of them. The driver picked us up from the hotel on time and took us to the airport on time on the return trip, making it a very satisfying trip. The guide spoke Chinese, which was a pleasant surprise, as he had previously lived in China. He mentioned that not many Chinese people travel to India, and he hoped more Chinese compatriots would experience Indian culture. It's worth noting that you should bring some Indian rupees in cash, as ATMs in India do not accept Chinese credit cards.

First Trip to India: A Real-Life Travel Review by Two Japanese Guys At the end of August 2026, we were blessed with beautiful weather, with sunny days every day. Japan has also been unusually hot lately, so it felt about the same in India. For your first trip to India, booking a tour is absolutely recommended. Famous tourist spots like the Taj Mahal have incredibly long lines, making entry a major struggle if you arrange everything yourself. However, with a private tour (not a shared one), you can enter smoothly without waiting in line, using the priority lane. Tour Booking & Airport Meeting Points Booking & Communication: Even after booking, there was no paper voucher, which made me a little anxious until the last minute, but communication via app and WhatsApp went smoothly. Meeting at the Airport: Simply find the driver holding a sign with your name on it at the exit, and you'll meet up immediately. Important Note: Once you leave the airport building, you cannot re-enter, so be sure not to leave until you have met your driver. Travel: After meeting up, a roughly 3.5-hour drive begins. Real-life experiences with guides, souvenirs, and rest stops Quality of the Japanese-speaking guide: Despite being self-taught and a Japanophile, the guide's Japanese was excellent, and there were absolutely no communication problems. Freedom (souvenirs, lunch): You can freely customize the itinerary by communicating your requests, so it's perfectly fine to decline places you don't want to go or unwanted solicitations. Rest stops along the way: During long journeys, the driver takes breaks for toilets and meals, so we also take breaks and snacks as needed. I was nervous at first on my first trip to India, but the guide and driver were very kind, and I returned home safely. As a matter of courtesy, I gave tips to the guide and driver at the end.
Reviews: Private Full-Day Old and New Delhi City Tour

A good 1-dau tour covering the key tourist attractions in Delhi. My guide Junaid is knowledgeable and provided a fair balance between accompanying me, leaving me alone to explore and becoming my personal photographer! My only grouse is shopping is not my priority and they were hesitant to remove the visit to the local craft place since it is so called mandated by the tourist authority. I would rather spend an additional 30 minutes in places that I really enjoy than at these shops!
Reviews: From Delhi/Jaipur: Private Full-Day Jaipur City Tour by Car (All-Inclusive)

We arrived right on time. The driver was punctual and provided great assistance at the trip's end (details below). Private tour at premium price. 4-hour drive to Jaipur: excellent highways, professional driver. Russian-speaking guide joined in Jaipur. Visited only 65% of sites. Tour lasted 3 hours—too short for itinerary. After Palace, lunch ended it. Guide skipped Stepwell (road issues, no prior warning) and observatory entirely. Escalated to management; time lost. 5-hour return to Delhi. Total: 9 hrs driving, 3 hrs touring. Guide's choices baffling. 🥺 Management refunded missed sites—thanks! Guide excellent on visited spots: knowledgeable, answered all questions (even off-topic). Driver outstanding: took us to Delhi Stepwell, dropped off precisely, courteous, eased tensions. Management kudos for switching to European lunch day before (default unsuitable).
