It was a great experience. The package I bought on Ctrip was a great deal, cheaper than buying it directly at the counter, and it even included a serving of takoyaki at the 58th-floor restaurant.
The scenery was also amazing. Highly recommended.★

The Osaka Amazing Pass is absolutely fantastic! I used the 2-day pass and was able to pass through Osaka Castle immediately without waiting. I also got to board the Tempozan Ferris Wheel and the Dotonbori Cruise right away (I highly recommend booking the Winter Cruise online), and got free entry to Tsutenkaku Tower, among other things. I used it so, so well. Needless to say, using the subway was amazing—I could go as many times as I wanted. It’s just so good, highly recommended!★

This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.★

I was worried about exchanging the voucher for the actual pass, but it was quite easy. At Osaka Airport, on the first floor near the currency exchange counters, there was a green JR machine where you could exchange the voucher for a physical pass. I read the instructions on the official website beforehand, which fully explained which machine to use and how to exchange it. There was an employee at the machine who could help if needed. There were no issues with the pass itself. The voucher was exchanged for a physical paper ticket. Don't lose it. You have to insert it into all the machines, but it's returned immediately.
