I was satisfied with the trip, especially the hotel... However, although the last day was supposed to be free time, they still scheduled a day off, greatly shortening my free time and disrupting my plans... Overall, though, the trip was still very worthwhile...

The tour guide's arrangements for lunch on the first day were terrible. There were three tables in total; the other two tables had been eating for ages, but our table hadn't even had our food yet. We waited for about an hour, and the tour guide was nowhere to be found, completely ignoring us. Later, when we spoke to her, she said she hadn't eaten either – a terrible way to handle the situation. The Super 8 Hotel near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda was quite nice, I was very satisfied. On the return trip, there was a traffic jam on the highway, and we didn't get back to the hotel until 11:30 pm. The tour guide wasted too much time; we all got on the bus and waited for her for half an hour. Ugh!

An excellent tour. We had a great conversation about the history of Java and how Indonesians live today. As a first-time visitor to the country, I found it very interesting. The food along the way was delicious. I would never have tried most of the dishes without this tour simply because I didn't know where to find them. At the end, I was offered a local traditional challenge: walking blindfolded between two trees in the square behind the Sultan's Palace. According to legend, if you make a wish and successfully complete the challenge, it will come true. I wasn't able to test its effectiveness, as I successfully entered the tree (actually, no; the guide stopped me). Overall, I recommend it. A great option for a nice evening.

It happened to be a one-on-one tour, and I was very satisfied with the content. The guide was fluent in Japanese, so it was perfect, and he was very considerate and took lots of photos. This price does not include tickets, so it was quite a splurge of about 13,000 yen extra! (Borobudur about 450k, Prambanan Temple 400k, Mount Merapi attraction 450k rupiah). I especially recommend it for those who want to know more about history!


