Reviews: From Brussels: Flanders Fields Remembrance Full-Day Trip
Guest User2026-10-29
Dietrich the tour guide was excellent. Set the scene on the way there by explaining the geo-politics leading up to 1914, and provided information on the implications of the war for his own relatives. Great explanations of the WW1 battle strategies, as well as the ebb and flow of the front line along the Ypres salient, and the key events here. His commentary through the day set the scene perfectly for the last post at the Menin Gate, and the youth military band and the parade of a group of cadets/boys brigade, who completed the performance, gave me an errie feeling after the day-long history of wasted youth. Memorable day.

It was very informative. Took us to a German cemetary & Commonwealth Cemetaries, the statue of the Canadian soldier and Hill 60 which was quite moving for us as we are Australian. The visit to Ypres was also memorable especially the last post at 8pm. It was a very good day but very long.

Reviews: From Bruges: Great War Flanders Fields Minibus Tour w/ Lunch
Guest User2026-10-31
Phillip was an awesome guide with a wealth of knowledge of all the areas we visited and the history, the minibus was very comfy for a long day of touring with plenty of convenience stops. lunch was delicious and great it was also a museum. i would highly recommend this tour to family, friends and anyone wanting to learn the history of what happened in Flanders, the toll it took on both sides and how lives have been rebuilt. kia ora Phillip.
