Reviews: From Panajachel: Cruise and Discover Three Villages on Lake Atitlan
Guest User2026-10-13
My guide was Azucena, who was lovely and taught us so much about Mayan culture. The day started with breakfast in Panajachel, near the boat docks. Food was very good. From there, we got a quick overview of the day before boarding the lanchs boat that would be only for our group for the day. Rides around the lake were fun! Our village stops in San Juan, San Pedro, and Santiago were all great. It gave a quick overview of each town. Tour ended in the place we started. A convenient way to see a bit of the lake without needing to figure out how the lancha boats work, haha.

Although it's the easiest to climb, it still presents a challenge. It's always a good idea to have your trekking pole handy. Water and snacks are also invaluable.

Reviews: Antigua: Marshmallows Roasting at Pacaya Volcano 6-hour Tour

It's really worth it. You do need to be physically prepared for the climb. In my case, I rented a horse because you can feel the incline.
