Departing from Queenstown's city center, your friendly guide will take you on a scenic drive along Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy. Multiple photo stops and viewpoints will be arranged along the way, where you'll hear fascinating stories about the lake and local legends from your guide.

Glenorchy town

Glenorchy serves as the gateway to Paradise Valley and Mount Aspiring National Park. Upon arriving at this tranquil town, you'll have the opportunity to stroll along the lakeshore, admire picturesque scenery, and visit the iconic red boat shed.

Heavenly valley charm

Departing from Glenorchy, we will travel along the gravel road leading to the national park. The Glenorchy-Paradise Valley road passes through fertile farmland, native beech forests and riverbeds. This sparsely populated area served as the filming location for mysterious characters in The Lord of the Rings and numerous other movies, TV shows and commercials. The guide will take you to famous filming sites and provide opportunities to dress in Middle-earth costumes for fun photo shoots.

After visiting paradise valley, we'll make a brief stop in Glenorchy again before returning to Queenstown. You can relax and enjoy the scenic views along the way as we drop you off in Queenstown's city center.
