2:00 PM - 3:15 PM Ding-ding-dong~ All aboard the little train~

Arrive at the steam train boarding point around 14:00, with a ride duration of approximately 30 minutes (including admission ticket).

In the early 20th century, the state of Victoria constructed four low-cost 762 mm narrow-gauge routes to develop remote areas, with Puffing Billy Railway being one of them. This railway commenced operation on December 18, 1900, connecting Upper Ferntree Gully and Gembrook over a distance of 29 km. The route winds through forests, fern-filled valleys, and farmlands. While the trains no longer transport goods or livestock, passenger numbers are now higher than ever. Today, Puffing Billy is one of Australia's most popular steam trains and among the best-preserved steam railways in the world.

As one of the narrow-gauge railway routes built by the government in the early 1990s to develop remote areas, the Puffing Billy Steam Train has become one of the world's best-preserved steam railway lines thanks to the tireless efforts of volunteers. Sitting on the train's window ledge alongside numerous children, dangling your feet outside as you cross wooden trestle bridges dozens of meters high and travel through the picturesque Dandenong Ranges, is a delightful way to experience mountain scenery with childlike joy.

● Note: The steam train ride takes approximately 30-60 min. The departure and arrival stations may be adjusted based on actual ticket availability, subject to the guide's arrangement on the day.

After 17:30 - Phillip Island to watch the Penguin Parade, including general viewing admission ticket (stay approx. 1 hr 30 min)

[During winter time] Arrive at Phillip Island at approx. 17:15 in the evening, with the mass penguin parade occurring between 17:30 and 17:50.

Over a century ago, Phillip Island's Summerland was already home to little penguins. They built their nests in the sand dunes, leaving early and returning late each day, always following the same route back to their dune nests for generations. During the day, adult penguins leave the island to forage in waters 100-200 km offshore, returning only after about four or five days. By then, they're fully satiated and can bring ample food back to their chicks in the nests. Remarkably, no matter when they set out to sea, the penguins return to the island with clockwork precision—always after complete darkness falls when not a trace of light remains—making one marvel at the subtle relationship between animals and Earth.

Approx. 19:00 Start return journey (Winter time approx. 21:30 return to Melbourne city)
