Tour Overview 

Depart Chengdu early by private vehicle and head straight to Leidongping, the closest vehicle-accessible point to Mount Emei's Golden Summit. Avoid transfers, skip the crowds, and reach the

heart of this sacred mountain in comfort and efficiency. 

Key Attractions & Tour Flow 

Direct Drive from Chengdu to Leidongping. Morning pickup in Chengdu, then a 3.5-hour scenic drive to Leidongping (altitude ~2400m).

Hike or Take the Cable Car to the Golden Summit 

From Leidongping, walk 1.5 km through serene alpine forests to the cable station. 

Optional cable car ride (5 minutes) takes you to the Golden Summit at 3079m elevation. 

The Golden Summit — Spiritual & Scenic Peak 

Home to a 48-meter-tall golden statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, symbolizing wisdom and compassion. 

“Buddha's Halo.”

Explore iconic structures: Huazang Temple, Gold Hall, Silver Hall, and Bronze Hall — spiritual hubs of the mountain. Participate in incense offerings or simply take in the tranquil mountain vibes. 

Wildlife Experience: Mount Emei Monkeys 

Native macaques often appear along trails near Leidongping — a beloved part of Emei's wild charm.

Note: please avoid feeding or getting too close for safety.

Quick options: simple hot meals or instant noodles available at the scenic area. If returning early, enjoy authentic Sichuan countryside dishes at a local restaurant near the mountain base. 

Return to Chengdu 

Afternoon drive back to Chengdu with expected arrival by early evening. End of tour.
