Highlights

In the morning, observe fish at Yu Garden and the Nine-Turn Bridge, and appreciate the ancient aesthetic of "wrinkled, perforated, leaky, and slender" rocks in front of the Yulinglong Summit rockery.

In the afternoon, we paid tribute before the bullet-riddled wall of the Sihang Warehouse. Through the contrast between the two sides of Suzhou Creek, we felt the solemn grandeur of the "Lone Battalion's Defense Battle."

The authentic photos of the "Eight Hundred Heroes" risk being reduced to mere heroic symbols without guided interpretation, overlooking the international public opinion battle behind the Associated Press's wartime images.
