Host Introduction

Hello everyone, I am the host in Beijing, the owner of Wuyunxuan. I have been influenced by Beijing's traditional culture since I was a child, and I love poetry, calligraphy, and Chinese painting. Among them, I have a special liking for Chinese painting, especially flower and bird painting. I have been taught by Xu Zhan, Liu Cunhui, and Guo Shifu, and have been practicing for decades, learning from nature and gaining inspiration from the heart. My works are widely praised in the field of freehand flower and bird painting, and are collected by buyers from many countries such as the United States, Britain, France, Germany, and Russia. Now I have my own studio, Wuyunxuan, at the Donghuamen of the Forbidden City in Beijing, dedicated to the exchange and inheritance of Chinese and foreign cultures.

Experience Introduction

There is a folk song in old Beijing: the fan has wind, hold it in your hand, someone wants to borrow it, wait until the beginning of winter. In the hot summer, draw a small scene or write a few words on the fan, and use the fan to shake a cool breeze, and you will feel that your troubles are gone, the brush and ink fade some of the trivialities in life, and add some strength to the calligraphy and painting. It can be said to be a cool friend, and even more a good friend.

Take some time out from your busy schedule and come to my studio. I will share with you the traditional Beijing skill of painting fans. Then you can paint a fan yourself, drink a cup of fragrant tea, and relax. Time will stay here, whether it is slow or fast, just keep your mind.

Venue Introduction

The venue is located outside Donghua Gate of the Forbidden City, with convenient transportation. The studio is decorated with antique furniture and has a strong calligraphy and painting atmosphere.

Experience process

In principle, the experience starts at 14:00 in the afternoon (other times can be negotiated);

I will first introduce to you the origin of the traditional art of painting fans and the calligraphy and painting works;

You will then be shown techniques for painting on the fan;

Next, you can complete a fan by yourself under guidance, and the sense of accomplishment will be instantly increased.
