Vietnam Hoi An: Thanh Ha Village Bamboo Basket Boat and Cooking Experience (Half-Day Tour)
Cam Thanh is a charming small village on the outskirts of Hoi An. During the Vietnam War, it served as a shelter for local people and soldiers. Today, it has become a famous seafood production area. Visiting Cam Thanh village, you'll have the opportunity to explore the daily life of fishermen, learn how to row Vietnam's unique basket boats, discover the tranquil coconut groves, and experience casting fishing nets.
- 8:00 AM (1:30 PM): The local guide will pick you up at the hotel.
- Travel to the market by car to meet our chef (approx. 30 min).
- You'll have the chance to experience the lively atmosphere of local markets and interact directly with vendors. Additionally, we'll show you all the ingredients needed for the cooking class.
- 9:15 AM (2:45 PM): Take a bus or boat to Jinqing Village.
- Along the way, you can admire the beautiful scenery of the Vietnamese countryside and see vast stretches of nipa palms.
- 10:30 AM (4:00 PM): Enjoy a welcome drink and relax at our restaurant, then join the cooking class.
- Our chef will teach you how to cook some local specialties like fried spring rolls (Chả Giò) and Vietnamese pancakes (Bánh Xèo). After the class, enjoy the dishes you've prepared yourself.
- 12:00 PM (5:00 PM): Depart for the hotel. The return trip to Hoi An city center takes approximately 40 minutes. Please plan your travel time accordingly.
