On this full-day tour, you'll explore two popular UNESCO World Heritage sites near Chengdu—the Panda Base and the Leshan Giant Buddha.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel (hotels within Chengdu's 2nd Ring Road) and then head to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Spend approximately 2 to 2.5 hours exploring the breeding center. See over 170 giant pandas, from tiny pink newborns to giant pandas up to 1.5 meters tall. Next, travel 2.5 hours along the highway to the historic Leshan Giant Buddha. After lunch in Leshan, visit the world's largest sitting Buddha statue (approximately 71 meters tall), carved into a cliff. If conditions permit, your guide will take you for a close-up view of the Buddha's head and feet. Learn more about Buddhism and local beliefs at Lingyun Temple next to the Giant Buddha.
After a 2-hour stay in Leshan, return to Chengdu and end the journey near Tianfu Square.
Note:
1. Please note that in Leshan, the activity is mountain sightseeing, not a cruise.
2. Hotel drop-off service is not included.
3. Excludes the CNY 30/person sightseeing bus fee at the Giant Panda Base.
