One moment it felt like walking into a desert, then after climbing over the highest sand ridge, the sea suddenly opened up, and the wind picked up instantly—that moment was well worth it.
The sand dunes themselves are more undulating than I imagined, especially the "Horse's Back" section. It doesn't seem like much from a distance, but you'll definitely feel the strain as you climb.
The sand is very soft; you sink a little with every step. In summer, the sun is directly overhead, making it much more physically demanding than at ordinary tourist spots.
But precisely because of this, when you reach the top and look back, the vast expanse of sand, the tiny figures of people, and the distant sea blending into one create a very unique sense of vastness.
Remember to bring enough water; you'll find yourself expending a lot of energy without even realizing it.
