Reviews: Full-Day Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with 5 Hours at the Site (ENG/ESP/RUS Guided Bus)

Highly recommended! The tour includes information about the wall, an entrance ticket, and roundtrip transportation from Dongzhimen Station. Please note! A guide will not accompany you to the wall (they are not necessary). You must purchase cable car/sled tickets separately, or you can buy them from the guide on the bus (they are the same price). There are two routes to choose from: the red route from the 14th to the 20th towers - the most beautiful views, an uphill climb, and a roundtrip indoor funicular ride (140 yuan); the green route from the 6th to the 1st towers - the views are also beautiful, but not as breathtaking, an open funicular ride, and a sled/funnel ride (140 yuan). You can also combine them! I personally chose to only take the red route on the closed funicular and walk from the 14th to the 19th tower (I didn't have enough strength to go any further), then the return route from the 19th to the 6th tower and a sled ride! It cost 200 yuan. The whole journey took me 3.5 hours. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the guide, Maxim; he explained everything in detail, gave advice, and answered the group's questions. Thank you for the trip and the great atmosphere!
Reviews: Mutianyu Great Wall Day Tour [Private tour with door-to-door pick-up and drop-off, multiple services available including Chinese and English]
Guest User2026-01-03
Great tour for first time visitors ! Pick up from the hotel to the meeting point (Dongsi station, if you go there by yourself the guide will refund 20 CNY later). After waiting for people gathering, we left in a big bus at 9 am and arrived at 10:30. We only took the option with Cable car in Trip and it was the right decision. During the ride the guide will try to upsell to other services (Buffet restaurant, VR gaming, etc.), not worth buying, what you only need is to buy the cable car (140 CNY both ways) if you didn’t include it first. The cable car only go to the West section and it’s the most physical challenging, but also the one with the best view. We brought food for picnic and went up to the last tower 20 (stiff climb at the end) and enjoyed the view of the whole walls there. If you choose the Est section it only goes down so easier. It took us around 3h to finish the West section. Then the bus left at 4pm and arrived at 5:45 at Olympic sports center station. Highly recommended!

Reviews: Beijing: Jinshanling Great Wall Daily Bus Tour with Options [Join-in Group and Small Group] Departing at 7:30AM
Guest User2026-01-16
Doing this trip during the winter was so worth it- there was almost no one else at the Jinshaling section of the wall when we were there! If it is snowy/icy, I wouldn't recommend going to Jinshaling though as it will be too slippery (there were some steep climbs). The driver was there on time to drop us off at the wall and was there again to take us back. One thing I would say is that you do NOT get a guide with this tour, basically just a driving service- I thought that wasn't very clear on the description. Everything else was great, no complaints 👍
Reviews: Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall + Summer Palace 1-day Tour: Chinese/English Available, Optional Private Tour with Pick-up Service

Excellent service, fantastic experience, great value for money, overall superb! The bus was clean, the driver was steady, the tour guide was responsible, and there were no hidden costs. 1. Thoughtful: Tour guide Han added my information and assigned me a family number the day before the trip for easy identification. She patiently explained travel precautions after boarding and summarized them again before disembarking. 2. Enthusiastic: Enthusiastic about her work and enthusiastic towards tourists. Tour guide Han guided us throughout the trip, explaining things and recommending what to eat, do, and visit in Beijing – a walking travel guide. 3. Professional: Tour guide Han wasn't just a scripted, emotionless guide; she incorporated her own feelings and experiences about the Great Wall and the Summer Palace into her explanations. 4. Humorous: After a long journey, everyone inevitably felt tired, so she used humor and authentic Beijing dialect to ease our fatigue. Her witty explanations throughout the trip made the trip very relaxing. In summary: Happy and worthwhile!
