8:00 AM - 9:45 AM Leave the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City behind and arrive at My Tho pier in about 1.5 hours.
Board the wooden ferry and sail along the picturesque Mekong River, where you can also observe local fishermen tending to their fish cages and fish rafts. Pass by Lin Island and arrive at Thoi Son Island in 20 minutes.
10:00-12:30 Thoi Son Island/Phoenix Island
[Honey tea] Savor the mellow sweetness of honey tea and authentic Vietnamese cuisine while experiencing the genuine local customs of southern Vietnam.
Coconut candy making process To satisfy your curiosity, we will visit a village with many small shops that make coconut candy and handicrafts from Mekong River Delta coconut trees (coconut juicing, syrup boiling, cooling and cutting, packaging).
[Live music + seasonal fruits] Enjoy complimentary seasonal fruits while watching graceful Vietnamese girls perform northern Vietnamese folk songs.
[See pythons/crocodiles] Get a chance to interact with golden snakes (snake petting and photo opportunities at additional cost) and visit the crocodile farm to observe and feed crocodiles (additional fees apply).
[Canoeing]: Glide along a branch of the Mekong River through dense tropical jungles, flanked by lush greenery, with occasional sightings of mudskippers and crabs along the banks - an experience to savor at your own pace.
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM Lunch (set meal or light meal depending on package selection)
Transfer to a larger boat heading to the restaurant to taste local specialties like "dinosaur eggs" and "elephant ear fish". If you're lucky, you might even witness the cooking process of dinosaur eggs.
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Vinh Trang Pagoda
We started heading back to the shore and made our way to Vinh Trang Pagoda, which has a history of over 100 years. From a distance, we could see a tall standing statue of Shakyamuni Buddha in front of the temple. Inside the pagoda, there is a large seated statue of the laughing Maitreya Buddha.
15:00-17:00 Return to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer back to the hotel or meeting point to conclude the itinerary.
