Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base
The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base is located in the northern suburbs of Chengdu, about 10 kilometers away from the urban area. It is built to simulate the wild living environment of giant pandas, with lakes, streams, bamboo forests, lawns, etc. Close contact with giant pandas is a specialty here. Visitors here can watch the living conditions of giant pandas up close. There is also a "Panda Villa" which is a closed leisure place for pandas.
Jinsha Site Museum
Jinsha Ruins is a site from the Shang and Zhou dynasties. The Jinsha Ruins Museum is built on the Jinsha Ruins and consists of the ruins hall, exhibition hall, Jinsha Theater and other buildings. The discovery of the Jinsha ruins has advanced the history of Chengdu to 3,000 years ago. Among the many exhibits in the museum, the most famous one is the "Sun Bird Gold Foil". The gold foil is round in shape and consists of the sun in the inner circle and the divine bird in the outer circle. It represents the high level of gold craftsmanship in the ancient Shu Kingdom. The Relics Hall in the museum is the excavation site for the Jinsha ruins' sacrificial sites. Here, visitors can watch the archaeological excavation process up close.
Sanxingdui Museum
Sanxingdui Museum collects and displays more than a thousand precious cultural relics such as bronzes, jade, gold, pottery, and bone unearthed from the Sanxingdui site. Among them, the more famous ones are like the Tongtian Sacred Tree, which has a unique shape and is full of mystery. Sanxingdui Museum covers a large area and currently has two independent exhibition halls. One is a comprehensive hall, where you can see gold, copper, jade, stone, pottery and other cultural relics. The second exhibition hall is the bronze museum, which contains various unearthed bronze utensils.
