The night view was excellent, and the temple at night was beautiful. However, it was a bit scary because there were large dogs everywhere and bats inside the cave temple. My explanation was a bit long. Since you will need to take off your shoes frequently, I recommend wearing socks.

The trip was fantastic; we covered all the essential temples of the old city in half a day by tuk-tuk. Our guide, Ah Tun, was also excellent, explaining the history of each temple and the Buddhist stories depicted in the murals – much better than wandering around aimlessly on our own.

The guide shared a wealth of knowledge about Thai culture in a way that was both educational and entertaining. Doi Suthep is a magnificent site, and the climb up the steps is well worth the effort. The temple is still inhabited by Buddhist monks, who perform their daily rituals there. We were fortunate enough to hear their chanting, which made the experience even more immersive.
