Board the Delhi express train "Gatimaan Express" for an efficient and convenient private 1-day tour to experience the grandeur of India's iconic Taj Mahal and the historical wonders of the ancient city of Agra.
You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Delhi and taken to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi to board a train to Agra. Upon arrival at Agra Cantt Railway Station, your driver will greet you at the main exit. During the journey, you will witness Agra's pinnacle of artistic achievement and unforgettable love stories, visiting the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, blending Islamic, Persian, and Indian architectural styles. Renowned for its symmetrical design, exquisite inlay craftsmanship, and romantic love story, it is hailed as "a teardrop on the cheek of eternity." A lunch break at a local specialty restaurant is included. After lunch, visit Agra Fort (also known as the Red Fort), a magnificent castle with over 400 years of history and one of the finest from the mighty Mughal Empire. It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, alongside the Taj Mahal. Agra Fort features imposing 20m-high walls made of red sandstone, exuding grandeur and majesty. After a pleasant day trip, you will be transferred back to Agra Railway Station to board the train returning to Delhi. You will arrive in Delhi around 7:30 PM, where the driver will take you back to your departure hotel or the airport.
