▲ We will stop at the magnificent Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Skógafoss is majestic and one of Iceland's larger waterfalls, standing at 82 feet (approximately 24 meters) tall with a drop of nearly 200 feet (about 61 meters)! Seljalandsfoss features delicate streams cascading from several meters below the waterfall, and its unique feature is that you can walk behind the waterfall via a trail. This will be an unforgettable experience, though you might get a bit wet. If you plan to walk behind the waterfall, we recommend bringing a waterproof jacket.
▲ Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon offers an incredible sense of tranquility, with 1000 to 1500-year-old ice chunks quietly floating into the lake and slowly melting. Covering an area of 18 km², the lake reaches depths exceeding 248 m. Movie enthusiasts might recognize this glacier lagoon from films like "Batman Begins," "Tomb Raider," and two James Bond movies. During summer, you can also opt for an amphibious boat tour to explore the glacier lagoon up close, observing floating icebergs and wildlife.
▲ Near the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon lies the Diamond Ice Beach, where during the right season, you can witness ice chunks occasionally washing ashore and scattered across the black sand like giant diamonds. It's breathtakingly beautiful year-round, especially on sunny days when the scenery becomes truly magical.
▲ On the way back to Reykjavik, there will be a stop in Vik Town. You can choose to have dinner at your own expense or take a walk to Reynisfjara Beach to admire the spectacular sea cliffs.
