This trip to Huangshan was truly a wonderful surprise! The scenery was breathtaking, the air was fresh, and the uniquely shaped rocks and ancient pines under the bright sunshine looked like a fairyland. The entire itinerary was very well planned; not only was we upgraded to a small group tour for free, but our guide, Xiao Wang, was also incredibly warm and attentive, patiently explaining everything along the way and taking so many photos of the children, who were overjoyed. This trip not only allowed us to appreciate the stunning natural beauty of Huangshan but also allowed us to experience the warmth, simplicity, thoughtfulness, and patience of our guide, Xiao Wang. This trip has left us with wonderful memories, and we must give it a thumbs up! 👍👍👍

We visited in November on a weekday. Lesser crowd and the weather was perfect, sunny between 10°C & 15°C. Our tour came with a guide who got us the tickets and planned the hiking routes, covering every "tourist-must-see" parts of the mountain. The buffet lunch recommended by the guide at ¥98/pax up on the mountains is a really good deal too. Huangshan is NO JOKE. The 8km up and down the steps lasted for almost 6 hours, excluding the one-way 20mins shuttle bus ride & one-way 10mins cable car ride. At the end of the tour our legs were not cooperative anymore. Besides the breathtaking views, it was also heartbreaking to see elderly potters carrying approximately 180 catties (about 108kg!) of goods up and down the mountains. They are literally breaking their backs 😭! Some even stopped and asked passers-by for water / food. Would forming a bucket brigade or a human chain be workable?

Especially our guide, Ms. He, whose rich and engaging historical explanations deepened our understanding of the essence of Huizhou culture; her thoughtful and meticulous service made us truly appreciate the hospitality and warmth of Huizhou.
