Reviews: Glenorchy + Arrowtown + Cromwell + Wanaka [1-day tour for check in pros] Chinese small group

I'm usually very careful when choosing a driver/guide because a good one can make any trip a joyful experience. Today in Queenstown, I found an amazing travel agency and driver/guide, Gogo!! Gogo arrived even earlier than agreed, waiting for us at the hotel entrance, afraid of keeping us waiting. The five-seater vehicle was clearly a legitimate travel agency vehicle; all the licenses were displayed clearly on the windshield, giving me a great sense of security. The driver/guide also had all the necessary licenses, not just some unqualified part-time guide. Gogo took us on a day trip to Glenorchy, Paradise Country, Arrowtown, Fruit Town, and Wanaka. She took us to all the popular photo spots and was very considerate in taking pictures for us. At each attraction, she patiently explained what was worth seeing and buying, her explanations were interesting and informative, and we didn't need to do any research ourselves. We just relaxed on the bus and took photos – all the fun was thanks to her! It's a pity we didn't have enough time to join a tour immediately after landing, which is a bit of a shame. Also, it rained today, but even so, it was a fantastic day!! This was a much better experience than the driver-guide I found in Sydney. It's true what they say, you don't know the difference until you compare!

I highly recommend our tour guide, Ah Hai. The itinerary was meticulously planned, the stops were perfectly located, and he even took photos for us. His photography skills were superb, and he shared many stories about the sights he had accumulated over the years. The entire trip was comfortable, warm, loving, and meaningful. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Queenstown.

This was my first time booking a tour, and I booked this small group tour around Queenstown on a whim, but the experience was absolutely fantastic! Our driver/guide, Ms. Qing, was waiting for us at the hotel early in the morning. She was incredibly friendly, even providing bottled water. Throughout the trip, she patiently reminded us to fasten our seatbelts, stopped at every attraction, and patiently helped us take photos and explained local stories – she was very knowledgeable. When we had questions, she diligently researched and answered them, sharing many interesting anecdotes along the way, making the journey full of laughter. At the end of the tour, she even explained that the black cattle we saw on the way were Angus cattle and shared photos of the Northern Lights from Queenstown from a few days prior. The entire experience didn't feel like a commercialized tour guide service; it felt more like forging a precious friendship in a foreign land! I highly recommend Ms. Qing to anyone visiting Queenstown – it's absolutely worth it! I look forward to traveling with her again next time! ✨

Today's Arrowtown and Wanaka day trip was a perfect experience! Jim was professional and attentive, knowledgeable about the local culture and customs, and provided detailed explanations of Arrowtown's gold rush history, the town's people and stories, and the natural scenery along the way. His presentation was lively and engaging. The itinerary was well-planned and relaxed, with a comfortable pace, allowing for numerous stops to capture beautiful scenery. He patiently guided us on photo angles and recommended local delicacies and hidden gems. Throughout the trip, he was warm, friendly, and attentive, making for a relaxed and enjoyable journey. We deeply appreciated the retro romance of this South Island town and its stunning lake and mountain scenery. A truly excellent itinerary, 10 stars! Highly recommended!
