Reviews: From Madrid: Escorial Monastery & Valley of the Fallen Trip
Guest User2026-10-15
Our guide "Dani" was great. We checked in at their office that morning to get our paper tickets (needed to get onto the bus). Make sure you eat breakfast or bring something to eat or drink - but no eating on the bus. The bus to the Escorial was large and very comfortable. We arrived at the Escorial early and before all of the larger groups if such things matter to you. The tour was conducted in Spanish and English through Bluetooth earpieces and we could hear everything without problems. We had enough time at the Valley of the Fallen to walk around the outside and walk through the inside, too. There was no time for a restaurant or buying food on the tour - just plan ahead! We were also back at Madrid around 2pm. There are a LOT of stairs in the Escorial if you are mobility challenged and the Valley of the Fallen is a large site with lots of walking required to tour it. Highly recommended for a great curated experience!

Reviews: From Madrid: El Escorial and Valley of the Fallen Basilica Half-Day Tour
Guest User2026-10-25
Third experience with this tour operator. A morning exploring one of Spain's most famous palaces. Carlos, our guide, was very knowledgeable and engaging. The tour was conducted only in Spanish (there are no Italian tours, only English and Spanish), but I still managed to understand most of it even without speaking the language. Perhaps, given the size of the Escorial complex, I would spend more time visiting it to fully appreciate it. The second stop on the tour is the Valley of the Fallen, a large monumental complex dedicated to the commemoration of all those who died in conflicts. Here you can admire the cross overlooking the valley and the basilica carved entirely out of the rock. A highly recommended experience! Departure and return to Madrid on time. Good value for money, typical for this type of tour.

Reviews: From Madrid: Toledo, Escorial & Valley of Fallen Day Tour

The guide's explanations were very good, but there wasn't enough time for each place. Many famous paintings that we had in front of us weren't mentioned. I suppose that was due to lack of time. The places are fantastic.

Reviews: From Madrid: El Escorial, Valle de los Caídos & Segovia Trip

Very nice break from the city and our guide Tamara was excellent. She was a good planner as we had most of the bastile and the Escorial Monestary to ourselves and they do get busy. Would definitely recommend the tour and Segovia is beauiutful.

Reviews: Combined admission ticket to San Antonio de los Alemanes and the Monastery of San Plácido

For an audio guide tour, not a guided tour, it seems far too expensive. And they don't provide any information about the crypt, neither with the audio guide nor anything else.
