Reviews: Best Berlin Shore Excursion from Warnemunde or Rostock Port
Guest User2026-10-11
I participated in this activity as an alternative to a much more expensive shore excursion offered by the cruise line on which I was a passenger enjoying a Baltic itinerary. I took this tour the day before the Berlin Marathon, many streets were closed, and the main attractions were overrun with tourists and marathon participants. Because parking was at a premium near such destinations as the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, a still standing segment of the Berlin Wall, and the Murdered Jews Memorial, reaching these sites required some extra walking and effort. Our guide, Walid, did a fantastic job keeping track of our tour group organized, ensuring we all understood his instructions and the importance of keeping up our schedule. Despite the crowded streets, we were still able to see most of the attractions promised. During the bus ride to and from Berlin from Warnemunde, and during our bus travel within Berlin, Walid provided an excellent history lesson. Very enjoyable activity.

The activities were very interesting. The views of the white cliffs were very nice. My only criticism was that we seemed to always be rushed for time. I would have liked to spend more time at the white cliffs.

Reviews: Lübeck's Old Town by canoe: Explore and circumnavigate at your own pace
Guest User2026-08-19
We had a wonderful day! We were able to lock our bikes up at the campsite, everything was explained to us, we put on our life jackets, and then off we went! The super friendly staff member showed us everything on the map – which way to go, where to stop for refreshments, etc. – and then we were off into the water! It was fantastic <3! We paddled all the way around the old town and took some wonderful photos! We had plenty of time; we even got out of the boat and had fish sandwiches with a beer, then went back to the boat and continued on our way. 🥰

Deniz showed up on time at the hotel and we started our wonderful journey to Lubeck at my pace and in no hurry. The transfer by train was an an enjoyable experience both there and back to Hamburg. Deniz asked questions of what I was interested in seeing and doing and tailored the day to my interests. He shared his knowledge of Lubeck during our walking tour and we took a very nice break to eat some cake at a very famous marzipan cafe which was excellent. For an older guy with arthritis in both knees I found the tour itself was perfect. Deniz was did an outstanding job taking me around the city for which I was very grateful.
