Itinerary Reference Introduction:

The Black Isle tour departs from Inverness in the morning, heading west to the picturesque village of Beauly. The name Beauly originates from French, meaning "beautiful place." You can stroll through the streets and enjoy the scenic views. If interested, you may also visit the historic Beauly Priory.

Next, we will head to the enchanting attraction on Hei Island: the Clootie Well at Mangeloch. Steeped in myth and tradition, visitors have long immersed a "clootie" (a small piece of cloth) in the well's water and tied it to a tree, believed to bring healing or good fortune.

Next, we'll head to the Black Isle Brewery, which produces award-winning organic beers. You can tour the facility, sample the beers, and browse local specialties in the shop. After tasting the local brews, we'll proceed to Cromarty. This beautiful Georgian-style town is the highlight of the day, with time to explore, enjoy lunch, and admire the scenic harbor views. Keep an eye on the water too – dolphins are sometimes spotted here.

The journey will continue to Rosemarkie and Fairy Glen. You can stroll along the tranquil forest trails in the glen, eventually reaching a viewpoint overlooking twin waterfalls—a hidden gem on the Black Isle. Next, head to Fortrose, where you can visit the historic ruins of Fortrose Cathedral.

On our way back to Inverness, we arrived at North Kessock in Boli Bay, concluding the day's itinerary. From here, you can gaze at Chanonry Point and have one last opportunity to spot dolphins and seals.
