Attraction and Experience Introduction
Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum - Secrets of the Underground Army
Step into the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum, and you'll witness hundreds of life-sized terracotta figures standing in orderly formations, each with unique facial features, hairstyles, and expressions. This is not merely a "military museum," but a historical archive recorded in clay. The on-site guide will lead you to discover fascinating stories:
Pit No. 1's military formation consists of thousands of terracotta figures arranged in a mixed infantry and chariot brigade, with orderly ranks of vanguards, flanks, and rearguards, as if preparing for battle.
Pit No. 2 features various types of terracotta warriors, including kneeling archers, standing archers, cavalrymen, and charioteers. Among them, the kneeling archer figures are exceptionally well-preserved, with the patterns on their shoe soles clearly visible.
Pit No. 3, though smaller in size, held a highly significant position as the "brain" of the entire army, featuring a chariot drawn by four horses and warrior figurines.
The Bronze Chariots and Horses Exhibition Hall (located in the Lishan Garden) features two painted bronze chariots and horses cast at half the actual size, comprising over 3,000 components. With the canopy thickness measuring a mere 0.1mm, they are hailed as the "Crown of Bronze Artifacts."
Visiting Tips:
The museum covers a large area, so it's recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
