Reviews: Beijing Prince Gong Mansion Half-Day Tour (available in English, Chinese, and multiple languages)

I highly recommend our tour guide! Prince Gong's Mansion has so many stories; without a good guide, it would be a rushed experience. Guide Li has a profound understanding of Qing Dynasty history, ancient architecture, and especially the culture of "Fu" (犏, meaning good fortune), bringing the stories behind every detail to life. We'll definitely hire Guide Li again next time!

Reviews: Beijing Prince Kung's Palace Museum Half-Day Tour - Includes Admission Ticket for 10-Person Group/20-Person Group/Independent Traveler Group/Multiple Group Types

Our guide Mr Wang was extremely knowledgeable and humorous. It was an extremely informative tour, and he brought his own materials (prints) to supplement the tour to explain the history of the mansion. Great references to èż˜ç æ Œæ Œ, the famous TV drama featuring a fictitious princess of the Qian Long emperor. You need to be quite fluent in Chinese and have a basic understanding of Chinese imperial history to truly appreciate what Mr Wang is sharing. Suitably impressed with the tour and I will recommend it to any history buff interested in the history of Qing dynasty.

Guide Ma's explanations were incredibly detailed. He not only explained the general significance of the attractions but also highlighted many hidden gems. Before coming, I only knew about the "Fu" (穏, meaning good fortune) character stele, but today I learned about the "One Emperor, Two Kings" stele. The entire interactive session was super smooth; I give you a thumbs up! 👍 Thank you for your wonderful experience! 👍 Small gifts were also provided during the interactive session.

Reviews: 1-day tour of Beijing's Lama Temple + Prince Kung's Palace Museum - explore Lama Temple and tour the palace museum
Guest User2025-08-05
When the king spoke about the palace of Gong, he combed the complex historical veins very clearly. From Hejianfu to the subsequent change of master, the characteristics of each stage were mentioned, and occasionally the professional terminology was explained in popular metaphors. The pictures and texts are in line with the real scene, and people are watching and listening. They have a specific understanding of the changes of this mansion, and the explanation is solid and not empty.

Fortunately, today the small group is only our family. The guide to the children's explanation is very careful and vivid!
