6. No prior caving experience is required, but you must be in good health and able to climb and crawl for 2.5 hrs.
7. What to bring: Comfortable clothing, breathable attire, and closed-toe shoes. You may change clothes in the changing room if needed.
8. This tour is not an outdoor experience; it is not affected by weather. The temperature inside the cave remains constant at 10°C (50°F).
9. Prohibited items: open-toe shoes, high heels, sandals, flip-flops, pets, smoking, alcohol, and drugs.

Budapest is renowned for its thermal baths, which many people wish to experience. However, few know that the hot water emerging from deep underground has created something even more extraordinary. In the limestone mountains of Budapest, the thermal waters have formed a vast cave system believed to extend over 200 km. The longest cave in Budapest is the 32-km-long Pál-völgyi-Mátyás-hegyi cave system within the Danube-Ipoly National Park. This is a multi-level labyrinth, with most of the caves lying beneath residential areas of Budapest.
The cave tour is led by qualified caving guides. During the exploration, you'll climb walls and navigate through narrow passages. Under the guidance of professional caving guides, marvel at the natural sections of the cave (all guides are certified members of the Hungarian Caving Association).

Reminder: To reach the cave from Kolosy Square, take bus No. 65 or 65A and get off at the fifth stop (Pál-völgyi cseppkőbarlang). After crossing the road, walk to the visitors center building. From the visitors center, follow the signs for "Caving under Budapest/Adventure Caving": go downstairs, bypass the bar building, then take the outdoor stairs. Upon reaching the terrace, you'll see our entrance.
