Itinerary:
Depart from Cusco at 4:00 AM and arrive at the starting point of the hike after approximately a 3-hr drive. After breakfast, the hiking distance is about 6 km, taking 2-3 hrs one-way. Due to the high altitude (starting point at approximately 4,326 meters, summit at 5,200 meters), the hike may be challenging. You can choose to rent horses from local residents, but the final few hundred meters must still be completed on foot. Upon reaching the summit: The breathtaking multicolored landscape of Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain will leave you in awe.
After descending the mountain, enjoy a buffet lunch in Quesiuno village and take a short rest before returning to Cusco between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM in the afternoon.
