Itinerary Overview:
Explore Iguazu Falls by train and trails, visiting Devil's Throat, the upper circuit and lower circuit. Afterwards, experience an exhilarating boat adventure through jungle paths and rushing rivers.
In the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel in Puerto Iguazu to begin an unforgettable journey exploring one of the most breathtaking natural wonders on earth.
Devil's throat: After arriving by the small train, take the elevated walkway directly to the core of the u-shaped main waterfall. It is the most stunning viewing spot in iguazu, with roaring water, soaring mist, frequent rainbows on sunny days, and a powerful impact experience. The entire route is flat and easy to walk.
Upper circuit: A gentle loop trail atop the waterfall offering panoramic overlooks of multiple cascades. Features open vistas with fewer crowds, ideal for full-view photography and relaxed exploration. Nearly step-free throughout.
Lower circuit: Gaze up at the waterfall curtain from its base and sides for an immersive experience of the powerful water flow (expect to get damp from spray). The trail reveals diverse waterfall formations and rainforest wonders with minimal steps, offering a nature-close adventure.
First, you will board an open-top 4x4 vehicle and travel 8 km along the Yacaratiá trail through subtropical forest. Then, descend a 100 m staircase to reach the jungle base at Puerto Macuco, where you'll board a floating dock and transfer to a rubber boat. Put on your life jacket and set off toward Iguazu River Canyon for a 6 km journey with constant views of the waterfalls. For the final 2 km, you'll navigate the rapids of Iguazu River to reach the waterfall area. Enjoy the thrill as the boat leaps with each wave. After an exhilarating descent, the boat will stop at a bend near San Martin Island for breathtaking views of the falls. Take photos to capture the moment. Hold your breath again as the boat approaches the base of Tres Mosqueteros Falls, offering panoramic views of the Brazilian and Argentine falls, with Devil's Throat adding grandeur to the canyon scenery. The roar of the waterfalls grows louder as you advance.
Departure time: 7:00, duration approximately 8 hours
Transfer instructions: Pick-up is available from hotels in Puerto Iguazu city or nearby locations. If the vehicle cannot reach your hotel, a nearby meeting point will be arranged for boarding. Specific transfer arrangements will be confirmed the night before departure.
