Wuyishan National Park

13.4k reviews
Wuyishan National Park is located in the northern section of the Wuyishan mountain range in northwestern Fujian, stretching across the border area between Fujian and Jiangxi provinces. It is one of China's first established national parks, and Wuyishan itself was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for both culture and nature as early as 1999. The park was formed by integrating the former Wuyishan National Nature Reserve and Wuyishan Scenic Area: the Tongmu area in the north focuses on ecological conservation and scientific research, preserving a rare intact mid-subtropical forest ecosystem at this latitude. The main peak of the Wuyishan range, Mount Huanggang, is also located here, and this core area does not offer regular tourism activities. Sightseeing activities are concentrated in the scenic areas along both banks of the Nine-bend Stream, namely the four major sections: Tianyou Peak to Taoyuan Cave, Nine-bend Stream to Wuyi Palace, One-line Sky to Tiger Roaring Rock, and Dahongpao to Water Curtain Cave. The attractions in the scenic area are relatively scattered with considerable distance between them. A leisurely visit typically requires two to three days. If you only have one day, start by ascending Tianyou Peak for a panoramic view of the emerald waters and crimson mountains along the Nine-bend Stream, then take a bamboo raft downstream from Xingcun Wharf. Along the way, you'll pass landmarks like Jade Maiden Peak, Great King Peak, cliff inscriptions, and suspended boat coffins. The rafting journey ends at Wuyi Palace, making it an ideal classic route. Tea enthusiasts may prefer spending time on the leisurely Rock Bone Floral Trail between Dahongpao and Water Curtain Cave. This gentle path connects core Wuyi rock tea production areas like Liuxiangjian and Huiyuankeng, offering a uniquely fragrant experience. With two days, you can cover all four major sections. For more time, consider visiting the ancient tea merchants' residences in Xiamei Village, the starting point of the ancient Tea Horse Road, or exploring the ruins of the Minyue King's City near Chengcun Village—the latter also being part of Wuyishan's world heritage site. Bamboo rafting is very popular, so please make arrangements in advance during peak season. To get close to the ecological heart of the park, you can take the Wuyishan National Park No. 1 scenic route. Places like Moon Bay and Qinglong Waterfall are suitable for self-drive or private charter. As for food, street snacks like flat meat dumplings and Vietnamese noodles are common, while Langu smoked goose and local dishes cooked with alpine bamboo shoots and mushrooms are also worth trying.China · Wuyishan

Dingwuling is located in Changting County (Tingzhou), Fujian Province, the capital of Hakka in the world. The village has high mountains and dense forests, fresh air, winding paths, and picturesque scenery. It still retains the original village form. Yellow mud walls, black and gray tiles, wooden houses and stone steps can be seen everywhere, rough and heavy stone gates, natural and unique old stone slabs, open old ancestral halls, and old ancient wells during the Qianlong period are the accumulation of the history and culture of this village. Among them, Dingwuling Dajing was included in the list of immovable cultural relics in the third national cultural relic census. The original ecological architectural style, beautiful scenery and simple folk customs make people linger and forget to return, which is of great tourism development value. According to legend, Dingwuling is free of mosquitoes all year round because there is a stone toad crouching on the ground by the road outside the village, its mouth facing Dingwuling. Dingwuling was blessed by the toad, and the toad stone was sacrificed at the entrance of the village for generations. On October 1, 2015, it became the Dingwuling Photography Base of Fujian Photographers Association and the photography base of Fujian Changting Memory Photography Club.Changting · 28.4km from Ruijin

1. After exiting the South Gate of Hongjing, walk along the Hongjing Pedestrian Street for about 10 minutes to the site of the Second Soviet Congress. 2. The Second Soviet Congress is the Second National Soviet Congress of the Chinese Soviet Republic. The venue has restored the furnishings and layout of the meeting that year. The second floor is a graphic explanation room. 3. There is an air-raid shelter outside the venue, which was built to ensure the safety of the leaders attending the meeting. I went in and took a look around. After I came out, the last bus of Line 3 was over, and I missed the bus for two consecutive days.

Wolong Academy, founded during the Shaoding era of the Southern Song Dynasty, is located at the southern foot of Wolong Mountain. It is the oldest academy in the eight counties of Tingzhou and the highest institution of learning in western Fujian. Song Dynasty Neo-Confucian philosopher Zhu Xi and Ming Dynasty scholar Wang Yangming both lectured and taught here, nurturing the cultural heritage of Tingzhou. Over 300 scholars from the area have passed the imperial examinations here throughout history. The academy is conveniently located on the west side of Xinmin Street in the ancient city of Changting, a 5-minute walk from Sanyuan Pavilion. The grounds feature pavilions and towers, as well as introductions to the academy and Neo-Confucianism, offering both fun and educational opportunities, making it ideal for family visits. Walking out of the academy towards the river leads to Jichuan Gate, the most bustling area of the ancient city of Tingzhou.

There's no excessive commercialization, and the bamboo raft boatmen are quite interesting and don't charge extra. A special shout-out to the "One Line Sky"! Having climbed countless "One Line Skys" across the country, only this one is truly authentic!! A place where you can calmly focus on the scenery, a truly peaceful and beautiful landscape.

Seeing some families bring their elders and children here to remember the martyrs, I feel complicated, but mostly relieved. Our ancestors and parents were participants in the war, and the younger generations will never forget.

As expected of Songcheng, it's really good. First of all, the environment is nice, and the prices are incredibly low. For example, a cup of green tea is only 6 yuan, and you can even get refills! The most interesting thing is the courtesan's dance! It's truly excellent!

We didn't catch any squid, but the owner helped us by casting a net every half hour, bringing up quite a few. We had a barbecue on the boat, which was a nice way to relax and have some fun in the evening. Even though we didn't catch any fish, we still had a barbecue and seafood porridge dinner.
