I was very disappointed after seeing breakfast buffet in this hotel! Knowing that it wasn’t cheap hotel and has lots of branches over Philippines, I didn’t expect that the buffet would be considering only Philippino and Chinese taste. Eggs weren’t even cooked well, hash brown smelled with old oil, most of the food contains pork, not much fruit choice ( only two ) , coffee tasted as though coffee machine wasn’t cleaned for ages. I raised a complaint knowing I had food poisoning after 2 consecutive days! All I heard is sorry we can provide you veggies … is it a best offer knowing how much we paid for this hotel! Then at least give people option of not including breakfast to the room price. Concerning room no problem, clean and nice.

Overall, this was a satisfying 5-star resort, with the exception of its location. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the security was excellent, making for a comfortable and safe stay within the resort. There were also various activities offered by the resort, so there was plenty to enjoy without even having to leave. Most notably, the swimming pool is absolutely beautiful. It was even more stunning in person than in photos, and I'd be willing to return just for the pool alone. The only slight disappointment was breakfast. While the bread and fruit were good, the overall food selection was less than expected. I had the pho for three days, and the taste varied each day, which felt inconsistent. Additionally, the location is a bit secluded, so many massage parlors and restaurants don't offer pick-up/drop-off services. Most of the time, I had to rely on taxis, which made getting around a bit inconvenient. However, the resort's facilities and services were so excellent that I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, resort-focused vacation. Conversely, for those planning daily excursions for sightseeing or food tours, the location might be somewhat inconvenient. Even if I visit Cebu again, I was so satisfied with this resort that I would book it again just for the swimming pool.

I had a wonderful stay at Mandarin Plaza Hotel Cebu. The location is excellent, especially because it is just a short walk to Ayala Center, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I also enjoyed the swimming pool and the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always willing to assist whenever I needed something. What I appreciate most is the combination of comfort, convenience, and good value for money. It feels like a hotel I can comfortably come back to whenever I’m in Cebu.

We had a wonderful stay at Mercure Mactan and were very happy with our experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located in Mactan Newtown, where there are plenty of food options, restaurants, and cafes, all just a short walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We were also celebrating a birthday during our stay, and the hotel kindly prepared a simple cake for us, which we really appreciated. It was a lovely little touch that made the celebration more special. Another great thing is that guests can enjoy access to the pool and beach in Mactan Newtown, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only area that could be improved is the breakfast selection, but it wasn’t a major issue and didn’t take away from our overall experience. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely consider coming back!

Although I checked in quite late and was unable to experience all of the services, I was still very satisfied with my stay. All of the staff were incredibly considerate, but what impressed me the most was how they always greeted and assisted guests with a genuine smile. They did their best to accommodate every request, so I honestly found it difficult to have anything to complain about. Perhaps because the weather wasn’t ideal, I felt that the hotel’s exterior had a much stronger visual impact than the view from inside the room.

The location was also convenient, making it easy for us to get around and access nearby places. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing, which made our stay even more enjoyable. What I appreciated most was the overall service. Sometimes a hotel can have beautiful rooms, but it’s the staff and the little details that really make the experience memorable. Here, we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after. Any questions or requests we had were handled politely and efficiently. Overall, I’m very happy with our stay and would definitely consider coming back again. It was a comfortable, pleasant, and stress-free experience from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with friendly staff and great service. HONEST EXPERIENCE and Please read for the CONS🧡 Bluewater Sumilon Island is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve visited. The private island setting, surrounded by clear waters, creates a unique and relaxing experience. We also appreciated that the resort provides complimentary boat transfers for checked-in guests. The transfer was smooth, organized, and only took around 15 minutes. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with complete amenities and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Although our assigned room was quite far from the main areas, the resort’s shuttle service helped make transportation easier. The food exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were served buffet-style, offering a wide variety of choices. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. The activity guides, lifeguards, restaurant staff, and service personnel were consistently warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They were approachable and attentive to our requests throughout our stay. We also had an unexpected medical situation involving one of our senior companions, and we were grateful that there was a nurse on duty. The assistance and care provided were professional and reassuring, especially since the incident happened in the evening. However, there were also areas that could be improved. Our experience with the reception staff was disappointing compared to the excellent service provided by the rest of the team. Communication felt rushed, and at times multiple guests were being addressed simultaneously, which came across as unprofessional and less welcoming. The resort shuttle service also seemed overwhelmed during peak hours. With many guests needing transportation around the island, waiting times became longer. Adding more service vehicles could significantly improve convenience, especially for seniors, children, and guests with mobility concerns. Our biggest concern was the lack of exclusivity despite the resort’s positioning as a premium private island destination. The resort accommodates a large number of day-tour guests who share many of the same facilities. As a result, areas such as the sandbar, swimming pools, and lounge spaces often felt crowded. There were times when finding available benches or fully enjoying the facilities became difficult because of the volume of day visitors. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury private island experience, this was quite disappointing. While we understand the value of day tours for the business, overnight guests paying premium rates should ideally enjoy a more exclusive experience and better access to resort facilities. Overall, Bluewater Sumilon Island offers stunning scenery, excellent food, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding service from most of its staff. However, improvements in guest exclusivity, transportation availability, and front desk service would greatly enhance the overall experience and better justify its premium pricing.

Choosing an ocean view room was an excellent decision! The room was clean and lovely. It's connected to a mall with many luxury boutiques and restaurants inside. For Korean food, I highly recommend Yeonhwa on the second floor of the mall. Having a Starbucks nearby was a huge plus! Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shabu-shabu place. Besides the mall, the hotel's breakfast buffet offered dozens of great options, and the Italian restaurant was absolutely delicious. I had a wonderful stay! 💗

My family and I recently stayed at Crimson for a night, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. My daughter absolutely loved the place, and the only word she could repeatedly say was, “AMAZING.” The buffet breakfast was outstanding, especially the wide variety of options available for kids. It was thoughtful touches like these that made our stay even more enjoyable. The foam party at the infinity pool was also a big highlight and added so much fun and excitement for the children. What truly made our stay memorable was the hospitality of the staff. Everyone was incredibly accommodating, warm, and approachable throughout our visit. During checkout, a piece of luggage belonging to a guest from Room 619 was accidentally loaded into our car. As soon as we discovered it, we immediately contacted the concierge, and the taxi driver kindly returned it to the hotel right away. Overall, we had a truly wonderful and memorable stay at the resort. Thank you for the excellent service and experience — we would gladly return and highly recommend Crimson to others.
