I had a wonderful stay at Fili Hotel and was truly impressed from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully designed, with modern interiors and a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere. Every detail, from the lobby to the rooms, feels thoughtfully curated and elegant. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the amenities provided made the stay even more convenient and relaxing. I also appreciated the peaceful ambiance, which made it easy to unwind. The staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a warm smile. Their hospitality truly made the experience memorable. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, which I appreciated. While there were many options available, I feel there is still a little room for improvement in terms of selection and variety. That said, the food was fresh and nicely prepared. Overall, Fili Hotel exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cebu, and I’m definitely looking forward to staying here again!

Amazing hotel for Cebu travelers! The location is perfect — right in the city center and within walking distance to Ayala Mall. There are also great restaurants and spa/massage salons nearby, which makes everything very convenient. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating throughout my stay. One small area for improvement would be the breakfast, especially the bacon 🥓. It looked and tasted like it had been reheated several times and had lost its appeal. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel. 4.9/5.0 👍👍👍

Was looking forward to our stay with the rebranding of Belmont to international chain Mercure. GOOD: 1. Staff is great, friendly and helpful. Diane at the check-in counter was helpful. 2. 6-7 minutes walking access to the private beach and outdoor pool shared with Savoy Hotel. 3. There are many good restaurants within walking distance. 4. It also has an indoor pool, gym, and spa. COULD BE IMPROVED: 1. For a 4-star hotel, Pulo's breakfast was average with nothing special or memorable. The food selection for the buffet is plentiful but not premium. The service of the attendants is lacking. Once seated, no one approached us to offer water or coffee during breakfast. Spread is a decent size so you'll find something to fill you up. 2. There is sewer smell in the lobby of our floor and inside the elevator at times. One staff admitted that the building has plumbing issues in the basement. 3. Elevator security system is faulty. Would not accept my keycard so could not go to our floor. Had to approach the reception desk THREE times to have my keycard checked. Eventually a staff had to accompany me to the elevator to tap my floor.

The hotel is located right on Alona Beach. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There's a main pool and a beachfront pool, both quite nice. The hotel staff were all incredibly warm and friendly, always ready to help with any needs or issues. Room cleaning was prompt, happening about one to two times a day, and they even offered turn-down service. There are two restaurants serving breakfast, and the beachfront one felt a bit more extensive. The beachfront restaurant also has a dinner buffet in the evenings, which is 990 pesos per person for hotel guests – excellent value for money with a good variety of dishes. The location is convenient, about a 10-minute drive from the airport. Definitely a top choice hotel on Alona Beach.

Staff is friendly, the location is good and they have different pools and activities for kids. Great for families. One of the pools was closed for a few days which wasn’t ideal. Breakfast is very complete and the restaurants serve good food for a reasonable price. I would suggest having more kid friendly toilets both in the hotel rooms and around the pool area.

I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Poor service. First time in my life I got to use the bidet as shower. We called the receptionist for our complain about the unbearable hot temperature of their shower and we are told that they will call the engineering dept.to respond to the issue. But after almost an hour of waiting (imagine, I already got my body pre-showered,because I stopped when I felt that the water is so hot) we got a call asking if we will be extending our stay. And luckily, it was my husband who answered the call. And calmly replied, “No, we will be checking out in a moment”. Because if I were the one who got the chance to answer the call, then I will say “we will definitely not extending our stay. And never to come again.” I decided to just use the bidet as shower so we can leave the place. I hope this will not happen to anybody. Their price doesnt justify the means. NEVER AGAIN! 😌

I have been using Costabella for nearly 20 years and have always considered it a pleasant, well maintained hotel. In fact I even got married here! However, during my most recent stay, the experience fell noticeably short of expectations. We booked a poolside room and, after check in, I was genuinely surprised to find that the room was on the third floor. Based on my many previous stays, I had always understood poolside rooms to be those adjacent to the pool at ground level. If you are booking a poolside room, be aware that this may not be the case and expectations should be managed accordingly. The room itself was a little dated in style, but it was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Housekeeping was consistent throughout the stay, which helped offset the older décor. The pool area is relatively small but generally well maintained. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded throughout the day due to the large number of day pass visitors. As a result, there were no chairs or loungers available for hotel guests for most of the day, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the beach area was clean and pleasant. The food was the main let down. The buffet breakfast would rate no more than 4 out of 10. Much of the food had not been replenished, including empty juice and coffee stations, and what remained was cold and unappetising. However, it was better on the second day. Dinner was equally disappointing. Several main courses were served cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen twice. In the end, we cancelled two seafood dishes altogether, as reheating raised concerns about food quality and safety. The steak, which was once a highlight of Costabella for me, was extremely tough and far below the standard I have previously enjoyed. Overall, Costabella still has many positive qualities, but this stay did not reflect the standards I have previously associated with the resort and this will be my last visit. Unless the quality of the food and the management of guest capacity improve, I would find it difficult to recommend Costabella based on this recent experience.

The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby, including Jollibee, a famous Filipino fried chicken chain. It's also super handy that the meeting point for island hopping tours is right next to the McDonald's next door. The airport isn't too far either. The hotel's airport transfer service was great; the driver was really friendly and we chatted the whole way. Ewwan at the front desk provided exceptional service, being very patient and even helping me register my SIM card on the first day. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast starts at 6 AM, but on days when I had an early island hopping trip, I could get breakfast at the restaurant as early as 5:30 AM, which is a huge plus! The hotel shares a compound with Henann Resort Alona Beach, right next to each other. When I moved from one to the other, the reception even gave me a shuttle ride, which was fantastic.

👍 What’s good • It’s very family-friendly: lots of swimming pools, water slides, lazy river and a private beach area make it a strong pick if you’re travelling with kids. Room sizes tend to be generous, especially suites or villas. The buffet breakfast is often highlighted for its variety (western, Asian, Korean, Japanese options) which is a plus. 👎 What could be better • Some of the rooms and general facilities are reported as dated or in need of refreshment/maintenance. For example: “The rooms are acceptable, but the cleanliness could have been better.” Some guests feel the resort is priced high relative to what they get (especially for “extras” such as kids’ activities or water sports). • Best for: Families (especially with children) or groups who prioritise a resort with lots of amenities and water-fun on site. • Less ideal for: Luxury travellers seeking pristine “top end” service/rooms, or couples looking for a very quiet, intimate, adult-focused getaway.

We have a great time. We arrived late at night and the check in was quick. The receptionist were nice and accomodating.Our room is so good. Big enough to accomodate us. They provide all the amneties and the breakfast is superb. The room is not exoensive and so worth it. Hoping for our next travel acxomodation😊
