The room was very clean and ready,My complaint is that the toilet set to close to the floor, perfect for a 4 year old not a 65 year old who recently had knee replacement surgery. And the other problem was no pressure in shower.
Room was booked through third party as two attempts to book with registration desk were unsuccessful (left voicemail on hotel phone, but my call was not returned). Upon arrival $70 destination amenity fee was charged (due to third party booking). $50 fee was charged for early checkin. $30 daily fee for second vehicle though parking lot was always less than half full.
Housekeeping staff (Britannia) was wonderful. Room was quiet and spacious. Nice location. Short walk to the beach.
Everything was great. Mild Wife left one of her pocket books and the room service people called us and told us they found it and we picked it up at the front desk. Thank you. We plan on being back in March.

Hotel was nice but no room service which is sucks . The reason is lacking of stuff . Good thing is restaurant just at the lobby . We did reservations to save our spot. But over all location is perfect. They have bicycles to rent.
This hotel is a bit hard to review. No recent reviews for us to rely on, since Covid started and slowed things down. But looked decent enough from what I could find. Had all the things we were looking for, in a kid free couples getaway. Or so I thought. Having an on-site pool, restaurant and bar were important to us, wanting to keep social distancing in mind. Only after checking in were we told the restaurant and bar was closed. The restaurant was still serving food, but a limited menu and on the patio only. Also limited hours so no breakfast options. The first day we arrived it was pouring so sitting on the patio was not an option. So first night there, and we already had to venture off the property. We were also told at check in that maid service was cancelled but we could call the front desk when we needed anything and it would be delivered. The staff was always very polite and helpful. And this is a total ‘first world’ complaint, but a huge plus of a kid free getaway is not having to make my own bed or worry about my wet towel drying. But ok we would make it work. New world post Covid, we can deal. The renovated rooms are great. Clean and modern and the fruit platter waiting in our room was appreciated. Clean but not without its bug issues. We never killed less than 10 flying ants each night we stayed. Luckily bugs don’t freak either of us out. The white noise machine built into the headboard is genius. The gym was fantastic. I’m a heavy lifter and was able to make what they had work. The pool area was nice and kept clean. The ‘no cooler’ rule was annoying but we found a way around it. They definitely need more umbrellas. Kind of annoying that on the day we chose to pay the ridiculously high amount for a cabana rental, other people who clearly didn’t pay were taking advantage of the empty cabanas. Overall the stay was just ok.
It was very full and could use more Covid 19 guide lines. It also could use more workers on special occasions. Cleaner bed spreads were necessary but it wasn’t horrible. Rooms seemed to be cleaned days before not that morning. Almost not freshly cleaned.
The hotel is located in the historic district of Savannah, across the street from the famous tourist souvenir street river st, and behind the hotel is the historic district of Savannah and the large and small garden square...
