Xixiang Pool (Bathing Elephant Pool) Review

洗象池是峨眉山的八大寺庙之一，传说中文殊菩萨洗象的地方。要是从山脚爬上来，到这就已经一半多了，但是后面还有很艰难的连望坡。所以要是体力不支或者时间不够可以在洗象池留宿，还可以吃吃斋饭，听听僧人诵经，净化一下心灵。

洗象池是峨眉山赏月最好的地方，李白当年看到峨眉山的月而留下过“峨眉山月半轮秋，影入平羌江水流。夜发清溪向三峡，思君不见下渝州”的千古佳句。当时虽然是在这旁边住宿，但是没看到月亮，不是时间。

在一般游客眼中，洗象池不是峨眉山上热门景点，但她的独到之处是峨眉山绝佳赏月胜地，“象池夜月”就是有名的峨眉十景之一。洗象池在峨眉山的高山区，海拔2070米，四周白云飘渺，古木参天，明月高照有四周的山色和树木陪衬的才是最美，而金顶却没有这些。跟团的话一般不会在洗象池停留，都是直接坐车到了雷洞坪，洗象池到雷洞坪没有车，只能徒步，冬季上山这里积雪很厚，路不好走，建议还是坐车上山。如果全程徒步的话，早上一早很山，到洗象池也该天黑了，可以在寺庙住宿，房间类型多样，平时去一般都有位，如果时间尚早再考虑步行到雷洞坪，雷洞坪距洗象池约7.5 公里，各类寺庙或农家饭店提供住宿的更多，但曲折迂回的登山路很考验体力的。徒步一定要注意循序渐进，不要一次走很快，很快就消耗掉自己的能量，带足够的水，虽然沿途也有补给站补给，但越往上走越贵。虽然徒步的路比较冷门，而且也没什么风景可言，但是沿路都有路标，按修好的道路行走，不要走小道。冬季徒步一定要在双脚上绑上雪钉，10元钱一幅，有防滑的效果。

洗象池，位于世界文化与自然遗产——峨眉山高山区，海拔2070米，四周白云缥缈，古木参天，若清秋朗月高照，万籁俱寂，清光无限，仰望星际，飘飘欲仙。“象池夜月”即是这里的著名景色。洗象池，入夜，皓月当空，月光映入池中，水天一色，景色幽美

峨眉山洗象池是1983年国务院公布的全国重点寺院之一，位于峨眉山海拔2070米的钻天坡上，由仙峰寺上行25华里，明时仅为一亭，称“初喜亭”，后改建为庵，名初喜庵。

If the autumn is bright and the moon shines high, everything is quiet and the light is infinite, looking up at the stars and drifting to immortality. The "Elephant Pool Night Moon" is the famous scenery here.
