Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens Review

Stunning grounds and an incredible selection to view. Easily one of my favourite places to visit in Pittsburgh. The gift shop offers a lot, and the food and drinks selection in the cafe were great, even with special dietary requirements.

The botanical garden is similar to a large shed, but also a research institution, where you can see quite a lot of excellent things, the botanical garden collection is also quite a lot, many greenhouse plants are also quite pleasant, the plants are very lush and the color is beautiful.

We took our friends to Washington Hills for dinner and strolled around for the views. Cold and clean evenings gave us a great view of the city. Definitely a great place to take visitors.

We went on a weekday night and it was not too crowded. I could find a roadside parking space opposite the botanical garden. You would be fascinated by the variety of flowers displayed here. You could easily spend2-3 hours here. They have a nice cafeteria serving drinks, coffee and sandwiches. The staff is very helpful and will guide you when needed. You won’t realise this is one of the oldest botanical gardens and it’s brand new from the inside.

Visits with the pitt student card are free and open until late on Friday. In spring, there is an artificial butterfly forest. In winter, there is a light show and a snow scene. Sometimes there are very rare plants such as carrion flowers and nepenthes. I am more superstitious... I often go to the Victoria Garden in the Botanical Garden to pray for help! In short, it is worth a visit.
