Bangkok Temple-Hopping Itinerary: Must-Visit Spots in the City
This time, we've put together an itinerary combining famous temples and shrines in Bangkok that are known for blessings in career, advancement, wealth, and love! Most importantly, we've picked easily accessible locations—you can easily get around via BTS and MRT. It's perfect for beginners who want to explore spiritual spots (Mutelu) but don't want to travel too far, or for those who only have a weekend to spare. 🫶🏻✨
We've split this into a 2-day plan so you can take it easy and avoid rushing from place to place until you're exhausted. Along the way, you'll still have plenty of time to stroll around, take photos, hit up cafes, or just relax.
📍 Day 1 — Career + Love (Can start late morning or in the afternoon)
Today's spots are right in the city center, making travel a breeze. Perfect for those who aren't early risers!
🙏🏻 Wat Hua Lamphong
Kick off your day by making merit at Wat Hua Lamphong. It's well-known for coffin donations, boosting your luck, warding off misfortune, and resolving "bad luck years" (Pi Chong). The temple is right next to MRT Sam Yan, making it super easy to get to. You can start your day at a really chill pace.
💖 Wat Kanikaphon
This is another popular temple for those seeking blessings in love. Many people come here to pray for relationships, love, and good fortune. The vibe is pretty peaceful, making it a great spot for an unhurried visit.
💕 Lee Ti Miew Shrine / Chao Mae Tubtim Shrine
If you're looking for love, relationship blessings, or a little boost in personal charm, this is a must-visit. It's a favorite stop on many spiritual trips, especially for those hoping to find a partner, improve their relationships, and ask for a smooth-sailing life.
🪷 Sri Maha Mariamman Temple (Wat Khaek Silom)
Wrap up your first day at Wat Khaek, a top spot for blessings related to love, career, and success. Many people come here to pray for career growth, fresh starts, and romance. The atmosphere gets quite lively in the evening, and it's a fantastic spot for photography.
✨ Day 1 is pretty laid-back with minimal walking, so starting in the afternoon is totally fine. Take your time praying and strolling around without feeling rushed.

📍 Day 2 — Career, Stability + Good Fortune (Early start recommended)
Day 2 takes you to the Phra Nakhon (Old Town) area. We highly recommend starting early because many of these places close early and there's a lot of ground to cover!
🏛️ Bangkok City Pillar Shrine
Start by paying your respects at the City Pillar Shrine. Many believe this is the ultimate spot for praying for career success, stability, life advancement, and overall success. It's especially great if you're starting a new job, making a career switch, or just want to secure a bright future.
👑 Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha)
Next up is Wat Phra Kaew, one of Bangkok's most iconic landmarks. Beyond its spiritual significance, the architecture and atmosphere inside are absolutely stunning. You can easily spend hours just walking around and taking it all in. If you love photography, this is a dream spot.
🪷 Wat Pho
Afterward, head over to Wat Pho. Pay your respects, explore the temple grounds, and if you're tired from all the walking, you can even stop for a relaxing Thai massage! The grounds are pleasantly shaded, making it a wonderful place for a leisurely stroll.
🌅 Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)
End your trip at Wat Arun in the late afternoon. We recommend sticking around until the sun starts to set because the views are incredible, and your photos will look amazing from almost any angle. It's the perfect way to wrap up a fulfilling, merit-making trip with tons of great photos to take home!
✨ Personally, I love breaking this into two days because it keeps you from getting burned out. You get to pray, explore, and snap photos at a comfortable pace. Trying to cram all of this into one day would be way too packed and stressful.
If you're looking for a Bangkok temple-hopping itinerary focused on career + love + easy transit, definitely save this list! 🙏🏻💖✨
Other visitors' reviews of The Grand Palace
Show More ReviewsThe scenic area is indeed rich in unique Thai cultural elements. Tickets are several tens of baht more expensive than buying them on-site. If you have enough Thai baht, it is recommended to buy them on-site. The advantage of buying online is that you can pay directly in RMB and enter by scanning a QR code on-site.
