Historic canal home that gives you a picture of life for the rich during the height of the Dutch Golden age. They have a lovely small garden in the back where you can order coffee, tea and cake, as well as the original coach house (which still smells of horse!). The exhibit on when I went was on children's portraits, showing the families extensive collection of paintings done of their children throughout the last 300 years side-by-side with modern portraits. Really interesting to see the day-to-day life through the lens of the children of the family.

The Fanlong Museum is a very beautiful museum, whether it is the museum itself or the furnishings and objects in the museum, it is very visible, and it is also a place to learn about the history of tin-plated in the Far East of the Netherlands.

The Fan Long Museum is not far from the hotel we stayed in. At first, I didn’t pay special attention to it. I just saw this beautiful building during dinner. It seems to be the building of the rich merchants of the year. The history is still quite long.

This is a pretty interesting museum and I’m glad we had a look but it didn’t blow me away in what was on display. Maybe more information like another reviewer said would help amplify the experience a bit. Would be interesting if they had more information about the servants quarters although they understandably had them blocked off as I don’t think people would fit up those stairs.

After entering the old family house, you can visit the room inside, go to the basement and enter the back garden, and then you can go to the back house, which is the family museum. It doesn't take much time. It's still near Singer Flower Market, so you might as well go and have a look.

Fanlong Museum, located in the urban area of Amsterdam, is the former residence of the founder of the famous East India Company in Dutch history. The former residence is exquisite and noble, and the interior decoration of the building is very luxurious. We can see the brilliance of the East India Company at that time. There are precious paintings everywhere on the walls and various valuable furniture and ornaments.
