Want to eat like a local? Don't miss out on these top Inuyama dishes and foodie spots.

I took a leisurely stroll through Inuyama Castle Town in a kimono! 🏯🤍 Inuyama is famous not only for its national treasure, Inuyama Castle, but also for its charming, historic castle town streets. ✨ This time, I decided to try something a little different and strolled around in a men's kimono! I don't often have the opportunity to wear a kimono, but when I actually wore one and walked around the castle town, it matched the old buildings and street food spots perfectly! 👏 Just walking around made me feel like I was on a special sightseeing trip. 🩷 The shrine with the heart-shaped ema (votive tablets) in Inuyama Castle Town was also adorable! ⛩️ And what's great is that they have a wide selection of kimonos for women as well as men! 👘💕 It's highly recommended for couples or friends to wear kimonos together and stroll around the town. ⭐️ Inuyama Castle Town is truly a place where kimonos look stunning, making it perfect for taking photos and videos while walking around. 📸✨ It was a memorable Inuyama trip, a little different from my usual sightseeing. 👀🩷 If you're going to Inuyama, I highly recommend trying out the castle town in a kimono! 🏯👘✨ #Inuyama #InuyamaCastleTown #InuyamaCastleTownStreetFood #AichiTourism #AichiSightseeingSpots

Who understands! Picking the right accommodation when traveling to Nagoya with kids is really important. Our 5 days and 4 nights trip was not tiring at all. The kids got to burn off energy every day, and they fell asleep as soon as they hit the bed at night. This is what a vacation feels like for a tired mom. You must book Ghibli Park in advance. We booked the afternoon session, which was much less crowded. The Catbus, Totoro Bus, and Kiki’s Delivery Service bakery were so authentic that the kids didn’t want to leave once inside. Nagoya City Science Museum was a pleasant surprise. It has the world’s largest planetarium dome, and lying down to watch the stars was so soothing. The extreme cold lab lets you experience minus 30 degrees Celsius. The kids wore three layers but still shivered and stomped their feet. Afterward, they said they never want to go to the North Pole again. The Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology was also very interesting. You can try operating a loom and there’s a children’s driving simulation area. The kids drove little cars crashing everywhere and played for an hour without wanting to leave. We visited the SCMaglev and Railway Park twice because the first time wasn’t enough. The Shinkansen driving experience was incredibly realistic, and there were many train models to see. You must buy the limited edition railway bento box—it’s super cute, and the kids even ate an extra bowl of rice. Inuyama Castle is also recommended. Climbing up offers a great view of the Kiso River, and the old street’s gohei mochi (rice cake) is delicious—sweet and chewy. When traveling with kids, be sure to bring a stroller. Although Nagoya’s roads are very flat, kids still get tired after walking for a long time. We suggest visiting 2-3 attractions per day, not packing the schedule too full. Return to the hotel for a rest at noon, then head out again in the afternoon. We usually leave at 9 AM, return to the hotel at 1 PM for a nap, and go out again at 4 PM to avoid the hottest time of day so the kids don’t get too tired. · -- Accommodation 🏨 Nagoya Nishiki Nikko Hotel High glass curtain walls + Japanese garden, 18th-floor executive level offers views of Nagoya TV Tower, deluxe twin rooms perfect for families 🏨 Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel International brand, spacious rooms, free stay for children aged 0-11 without extra bed, offers connecting rooms 🏨 GOLD STAY Nagoya Osu Apartment-style accommodation with zoo-themed rooms, small kitchen and washing machine, ideal for long-stay families 🏨 Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya Convenient location, spacious rooms, family-friendly, rich buffet options, suitable for families · --

In the previous article, we covered the monkey prevention guide. This time, let's systematically talk about what other adorable animals we can show the kids at Laba River besides those "little bandits." This is a wonderful nature observation lesson! 🦌 Main Character One: Sambar Deer (Elegant Forest Spirit) This is another signature animal at Laba River besides the monkeys. Where to see them: At dusk and dawn, near the scenic area hotels (especially places with "salt wells") and around the deer ponds, it’s easier to spot them coming out to forage or lick salt. We saw them from the hotel balcony; at night, they quietly approach. Characteristics: Larger than the spotted deer, with dark brown fur and males have antlers. They are very alert, moving lightly and quietly. Observation tips: Stay quiet and watch from a distance. Do not try to approach or feed them. Use binoculars to let kids observe closely. 🐦 Main Character Two: Various Birds (Forest Singers) Laba River is a great place for birdwatching. Common birds: We saw brightly colored blue-fronted red-tailed robins, kingfishers fishing by the stream, and chirping tits. How to observe: When hiking with kids, pay attention to sounds and movements in the trees. Stop and wait quietly, and you’ll often see little birds hopping onto branches. Preparation: Bring a simple bird guidebook (or a mobile app) so kids can identify the birds. 🐿️ Main Character Three: Squirrels and Other Small Animals On forest trails, if you’re lucky, you can see squirrels jumping between branches. There are also various beautiful butterflies and insects. Observation method: Walk slowly, don’t just look far ahead, also check nearby tree trunks and the ground. 👀 How to Enhance Kids’ Interest in Observing? Become “Little Detectives”: Give kids a task like “Today we need to find three different colored birds” or “Look for animal footprints.” Prepare tools: A child’s binoculars will greatly boost their interest and observation skills. Quietness and Patience: Teach kids to wait quietly and observe—this is the first lesson in watching wild animals. Record and Share: Let them draw or take photos of the animals they see, and share the stories with friends at home. ⚠️ Core Principle: Respect and Protection When watching all wild animals, always follow the principles of observing from a distance, not disturbing, and not feeding. Tell kids that we are just guests in the forest; the animals are the real owners here. Our job is to observe quietly and protect their home. At Laba River, besides the magnificent natural scenery, these lively animal residents form part of the ecosystem. Bringing kids here for a real and fun nature observation lesson is more profound than any book education. This trip will help kids remember not only the fun snow but also those adorable forest neighbors. 🌲

Each place hides unknown romance, and every snapshot is wallpaper-worthy. Hurry and save it while the crowds are light✨ 🍁 Core Maple Viewing Landmarks in Kyoto 1. Kiyomizu-dera (★★★) 📍Address: 1-294 Kiyomizu, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto ⏰Opening Hours: 6:00-18:30 (Night cherry blossom period 17:30-21:00) Kiyomizu-dera during maple season is pure romance! Tofuku-ji (★★) 📍Address: 15-778 Honmachi, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto Known as the "Kansai Maple Ceiling"! I heard from a friend that an Indigo opened in Inuyama. Although I am unfamiliar with the place, after seeing everyone's photos and experiences, I feel that it is worth a try. (Sometimes Trip Coins can be exchanged, so keep an eye out for that) · First of all, the location is not far from Inuyama Yuen Station, and it’s just a 900-meter walk along the river. 🛏️ We have a river view room. The view is a little off, but it's satisfying. What really makes me fall in love with this place is the natural hot springs provided by the hotel. It's so comfortable and you can soak in it morning and night. The room is of moderate size, with yukata and geta provided. The wall behind the bed is painted with a graphic illustration of Inuyama, and the overall style is woven wood. 🥢 The breakfast cost 4,500 yen (about 203 RMB) at first, which I thought was a bit expensive, but when I ate it the next day, I felt it was acceptable. It was a semi-buffet style with a small set meal, which was quite exquisite. 🍵 Next to the hotel is a very famous local tea house. You can enter and exit as many times as you want by showing your room card at the entrance. If you want to experience matcha, you need to pay an additional 600 yen (about 27 RMB), which includes a bowl of matcha + a piece of dessert. There are iced and hot options. I prefer the iced one, which is perfect for summer. Even though I don’t usually like matcha, I still want to have another bowl. The environment of the teahouse is also very good. If it is not too hot, you can take a look around. The buildings are quite old. 🚶🏻♀️ Around the hotel, there is a place similar to a commercial street called "Inuyama Castle Town", and there is also a place called "Inuyama Castle" where you can climb up and see the whole Inuyama. There are many shrines nearby, I won't go into detail here, I'll organize them and post a city walk guide another day Why is it said to be surrounded by cultural heritage? Inuyama Castle and Yurakuen are both cultural heritages, and there are signs and relevant introductions at the entrance. Living here is not as boring as you might imagine. You can have fun, eat and go shopping. This time I met a compatriot family, and they are even going to stay here for a week. · —
This is a very cost-effective attraction, suitable for a day trip or staying overnight nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk from Inuyama Yuen Station. You can climb the castle tower and overlook the beautiful scenery of Inuyama City. It's quite pleasant. You can find food in the Inuyama Castle Town next to it.
企鹅旅行日记i am an indonesian living in nagoya.this is my first time visiting the sky promenade in the summer.
Anonymous userHistorical buildings from all over Japan have been relocated and preserved here in Meiji Village. Just walking around will make you feel like you've traveled back in time. My recommendation is to buy some cheap sweets from a candy store in the village and eat them while you walk around. There are no cheap candy stores left in the neighborhood, so it's a great way to relive childhood memories.
ミサトリップDespite being so close, I finally had the chance to visit. It's a place that will appeal to those who love world expos, international cuisine, and different cultures. The grounds are vast; even a quick walk takes 3-4 hours, but if you eat and eat, 5-6 hours will fly by. Strollers are no problem. There are some areas inside the buildings where a baby carrier is recommended. There are diaper changing stations and nursing rooms, and on typical weekends, the restaurants aren't too crowded, making it easy to feed babies solid foods. The parking lot is large, so you don't need to arrive early. It's a paid parking lot. You can buy tickets at the entrance without queuing, even without purchasing them in advance. Costumes are also inexpensive at 500 yen, so it's fun to dress your child in several outfits and take pictures. There are restaurants in each area, including some with hearty meals, so taking breaks while exploring will make it even more enjoyable. Thank you.
