Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano), a famous Italian Catholic Church located in Milan, Italy, is the cathedral of Milan, and one of the five cathedrals in the world, ranking second in the world. Construction began in 1386, the vault was completed in 1500, and the La Madonnina( Gilded Statue of the Virgin Mary on the tallest Gothic spire in 1774 was built by Giuseppe Perego, a symbol of the city of Milan. The entire church was completed in 1965 and lasted five centuries. Napoleon held a coronation ceremony at the Cathedral of Milan in 1805.
