Boran Temple
In 1369, the second king of the Great City, Ramesuan, chose this place as the cremation ground for his father, the founder of the Ayutthaya Dynasty, Uthong. The main existing building of the temple is a Khmer-style pagoda shaped like corn, which was built by King Borommatrailokanat during the renovation of the temple in the 15th century. The pagoda in the temple combines the characteristics of Khmer pagoda, Sri Lankan pagoda, and Shriliputa pagoda. There is a large pond in front of the temple, which is particularly beautiful during the lotus blooming season.
