Address: 5033 Yitian Road, Futian District, Shenzhen.
There are many ways to get there, the most convenient way is by metro, you can take Line 1 or Line 3, stop at Shopping Park station, and get out from Exit D.
Tickets for the observation deck (119th floor): 200 yuan/person.
The fourth tallest building in the world and by far the tallest in Shenzhen, the Ping An Interntional Finance Center includes shopping, educational services, businesses and office space.
Ping An Finance Center has an observation deck on its 119th floor.
Instead of paying 200 yuan for the observation deck (which is on 119th floor) we decided to go to Altitudes bar (on 118th floor). It's a really nice place with an amazing view and very few people. Please, notice that this place has a dress code and they won't let you in if you're wearing shorts😁 But the service there is really good. They can lend you a pair of pants if you didn't know abt the dress code.

Dreams Come True in the Source of Three Rivers, Day 7: Yushu—Garsê—Nangqên
Day 7: Yushu—Garsê—Nangqên
Today, we traveled from Yushu to Nangqên via Garsê and then back to Nangqên. It's less than 200 kilometers from Yushu to Nangqên, and less than 100 kilometers from Nangqên to Garsê.
If we describe the car as a moving viewing platform, then this highland journey is like an endless magnificent scroll. Snowy mountains and canyons, highland grasslands, peculiar peaks and rocks, primeval forests, streams in the woods, fragrant cypress, sea buckthorn, red willows, ancient rock salt drying fields, yaks everywhere, and occasionally wild animals (such as groups of Tibetan macaques, herds of blue sheep, groups of white-lipped deer, pairs of white eared-pheasants and blue eared-pheasants, marmots, large hawks...), as well as many splendid monasteries... Although the roads are narrow and rugged, whether smooth or bumpy, damaged, or blocked by yaks, none of this has affected our good mood for sightseeing.
Under the snowy mountains, the vast Batang Grassland makes the Yushu Airport seem particularly inconspicuous. This airport was only completed and opened in August 2019. In April 2010, the Yushu earthquake struck, and it seems as if the airport was built for earthquake resistance, playing a very important key role in disaster relief.
On the Batang Grassland, there is a black yak hair tent that has set a Guinness World Record. I had seen it before in a documentary, and today I saw its true form. This huge tent, made of black yak hair woven into blankets and ropes, covers an area of more than 1,700 square meters and stands out strikingly on the grassland.
Garsê Monastery is built on the top of a steep mountain cliff, bordering Tibet, and belongs to the Jonang school of Tibetan Buddhism (White Sect). The treasures of the monastery are a pair of ancient prayer wheels, which are said to be part of Princess Wencheng's dowry when she entered Tibet. The main hall enshrines a Thousand-Handed Avalokiteshvara.
I noticed that there is a food trough in the monastery, specifically for wild animals that come to the monastery to forage. The wild animals can freely enter and exit the monastery, which perhaps reflects the Buddhist philosophy of great compassion and equality for all beings.

Dreams come true at the source of the three rivers on Day 4: Dawu—Darlag—Serxu
D4 Dawu—Darlag—Serxu
The town of Dawu, where I stayed last night, is the capital of Golog Prefecture, with an altitude of 3700 meters, and I didn't sleep well through the night.
Today, I still took the national road, crossing mountains and ridges, getting higher and higher, stopping from time to time to enjoy the scenery and take photos. After about 8 hours, I passed through Darlag and arrived at Serxu. The altitude of Serxu is 4200 meters, and I might have another tough night ahead 😬
Darlag Gesar Linka—Standing on the high slope on the south bank of the Yellow River, centered around the grand statue of King Gesar on horseback, from here one can overlook the panoramic view of Darlag county, with several small braided streams flowing into the Yellow River, forming the majestic Yellow River Wetland Park. The small turquoise-colored temples on the hillside look like toys, exceptionally beautiful.
Songge Mani Stone Scripture City—On a grassland in Serxu County, there's a stone castle built with slabs of stone carved with scriptures. It is said that initially, during the era of the Gesar Kingdom, it was built to liberate the souls of soldiers who died in battle. For over a thousand years, generations of Tibetans have come here to pay homage to the heroes, continuously stacking scripture stones, forming the current castle that is about 10 meters high, with each side being about 100 meters long, and the central peak about 15 meters high. This castle, which has no frame support and uses no adhesive, has stood for a thousand years without collapsing, reminding me of the pyramids of Egypt. Although the scale and era of the two are not comparable, the wisdom and power of folk beliefs are somewhat similar.
Today, devout believers add scripture stones to this square castle every year, and the volume of the castle continues to grow. However, it is said that even as stones are added to the top, the height of the castle does not increase but instead sinks overall. It is believed that the increase in height on the surface is equal to the depth of sinking, the reason for which remains an unsolved mystery. There has been no verification of the truth.
Many people circumambulate the castle, praying and prostrating step by step, their faces filled with simplicity and devotion. It was too cold, and I only made one round with the circumambulating crowd, yet my emotions were still affected.
Before leaving the Stone Scripture City, a group of local Tibetan children came around. At first, a little boy asked me for one yuan, then for a piece of candy. When they learned that they had to wait a while before I could open the car door to fulfill their wishes, the children happily started chatting with me. They all attend primary school in a town 25 kilometers away, and if they go to junior high, they have to go to the county town 40 kilometers away. They all live in tents nearby, and their parents no longer herd but make a living by making and selling scripture stones. One sixteen-year-old boy was sent to a monastery by his parents after he was born and was forcibly taken out by the police to go to school at the age of ten (which was probably a government action), and now he is in the fourth grade. When I distributed the candy to them, looking at the pure and simple smiles of these children, my heart was filled with mixed emotions.
Ari Zhabu Kang Monastery—Passed by, attracted by its grand scale, glittering gold and turquoise appearance, stopped to take photos. It is said that the monastery is also presided over by a living Buddha and high monks, but due to time constraints, I did not go in for a visit.

| Different perspectives of Ping An Finance Center (with location). The Shenzhen Ping An Center is 599 meters high, completed in 2016, much higher than the surrounding office buildings, and can be seen from many places in Shenzhen.
I have taken photos of Ping An Center from multiple perspectives in the past six months, and I will share the locations here.
-
P2: Garden + urban village + Ping An perspective, location: East gate of Jinxiu Garden
P3: Location: Sunrise Theater
P4: Location: Xinzhou River Greenway or navigate to Xinzhou Tongchuanghui, exit D of Yitian Road, walk forward to the overpass, turn left and walk a bit.
P5: Diwang + Kingkey + Ping An group photo, location: Wenhua Building West, west gate elevator directly to the 30th floor, the rooftop seems to be closed.
P6: Ping An in the gap of the urban village, location: Shangmeilin New Village 18X-19X, find it on the spot.
P7: Ping An in the gap again, location: Tianfa Building, Tai'an Tenth Road, the shooting location is on the road in the park, watch out for vehicles.
P8: M sign wraps Ping An, under the Tianan Digital Building, the current position is no longer available, the sign has moved.
P9, P10: Classic position: Golden Ring, the outdoor platform has now installed magnetic locks.
P11: There are three sets of looking up in Lujiazui, Shanghai, imitating a Shenzhen version of the "four sets". Location: Safety island in the middle of the road on the west side of the intersection of Fuhua Road and Yitian Road, pay attention to safety.
P12: A frame perspective discovered while eating, location: Women and Children's Building, a restaurant upstairs.
P13, 14: Rarely want to climb the mountain but it is a smoggy day, the stones on the mountain can take pictures of people and Ping An, borrowed a passerby model. Location: Behind Meilin Mountain. It takes about 3 hours from the subway station, pay attention to the time.
P15: Not a position, a "top moon" of Ping An discovered while walking
P16: Got up at three o'clock in the summer to take a picture of "Ping An Top Day", but it rained in the second half of the night... A foggy can't see anything. The location is also near the Sunrise Theater, you need to calculate the shooting time.

I was able to go to the tallest building in Shenzhen. It's the Ping-An Financial Center. There was a nice man who I conversed with in English and he pointed me where the entrance is. Turns out, he works there but the tourists have a different route.
I was the first one in the queue so I had to wait a bit. Thankfully, there were other tourists. I bought my ticket there using AlipayHK. The exchange rate wasn't bad.
The elevator was fast. I got to go around the observation area. I just kept going around and taking pictures for at least 30 mins. It's worth the visit if you want to see the whole Shenzhen area in one go.
