Game of Thrones and the Glory of Faith: Pursuing the Footsteps of History in Seville
Our journey takes us to the enchanting city of Seville, which not only boasts Europe's oldest royal palace - the Seville Palace, but also the third largest cathedral in the world - the Seville Cathedral. What's more exciting is that the Seville Palace was the filming location for the palace gardens of the Martell family in the popular TV series Game of Thrones. We can't wait to witness the grandeur of these magnificent buildings with our own eyes.
We first stepped into the Seville Palace, and this historic palace immediately shocked us with its luxury and refinement. Walking in the palace, we seem to travel back to the glorious past, the delicate murals, gorgeous decorations and exquisite furniture all show the wealth and taste of the Spanish royal family. And those familiar scenes from Game of Thrones give us a wonderful experience of the intertwining of reality and fiction.
The palace gardens are equally breathtaking, with lush vegetation, exquisite fountains, and maze-like flower beds creating a peaceful and beautiful world. Here, we found the prototype of the Martell family's garden in Game of Thrones, and those familiar scenes made us recall the wonderful moments in the drama.
Then, our steps led us to the Seville Cathedral, the grandeur of this Gothic building made us awe-inspiring. Its huge dome and towering spires are even more spectacular against the blue sky. We walked into the interior of the cathedral, attracted by the gorgeous stained glass windows and delicate carvings. Here, we not only felt the power of religious faith, but also awe at human architectural talent.
Walking in the cloister of the Seville Cathedral, we seem to hear the echo of history, each stone tells a story of the past. Standing in the center of the third largest cathedral in the world, we involuntarily lowered our voices, fearing to disturb this sacred land.
As night fell, we strolled on the streets of Seville, reminiscing about what we had seen and felt during the day. This city showed us the glory of power and faith in its unique way, giving us a deeper understanding of Spanish history and culture. This trip not only allowed us to appreciate the beauty of Seville, but also filled us with respect for the great achievements of human civilization. We will continue our journey with these beautiful memories, looking for more wonders of the world.
Seville, Spain | The most authentic flamenco is here
For a long time, Seville has been my favorite city in the top1 ranking.
💛I love Seville too much.
The streets are wide, the buildings are low, the city is flat, and it is evenly bathed in sunlight.
💛There are blue skies and palm trees, with a friendly but not lost gorgeous trait.
Every attraction has a surprise beyond psychological expectations.
🔸【Seville Cathedral】
It is the third largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the final resting place of Columbus. The window flowers inside are exquisite and the carvings are extremely complicated. The "gilded screen" in the main chapel truly deserves the reputation of "glittering". Always shocked by the cathedral.
Climbing to the top of the Giralda, you can overlook the beautiful panorama of Seville.
🔸【Seville Palace】
Visiting the Seville Palace, I always feel that the scenery is familiar. Later I learned that this is the filming location of the Martell family palace in Dorne in Game of Thrones. This is the oldest royal palace in Europe.
🔸【Spanish Square】
"The most beautiful Spanish square in the world is in Seville".
Red brick and iron art make the entire Spanish square retro and bright. There are many exquisite murals on the Roman-style cloister, representing the historical scenes of different provinces in Spain. The sunset sets the entire square in orange, which is beautiful.
🔸【Golden Tower】
It is a witness to the glorious maritime history of Seville. The Golden Tower is painted with a layer of gold powder all around, so it is called the Golden Tower, but as time goes by, the gold powder falls off. But under the sunset, it still presents a golden color, shining as before.
🔸【Seville Bullring】
The Royal Knight Bullring is one of the most important and traditional bullrings in Spain, and it has been mentioned in countless novels, movies, and operas. Bullfighting events are still held here every year.
Seville, where there are trees everywhere, and the air is filled with fragrance
The most beautiful Spanish square in Spain is not in the capital Madrid, but in Seville.

The passionate Flamenco theater performance at night, an hour of clapping hands and stomping feet
Discovering the Beauty and Culture of Seville: From Orange Tree Lined Streets to Architectural Delights
After a week and a half of being in Seville, I find myself constantly drawn in by the beauty of the smallest (and largest) of things here.
The orange tree lined streets, young girls doing photo shoots in the park, architectural details, sun shining at just the right angle, and so much more.
When traveling, don’t forget to always look up, down, and all around. You don’t want to miss the beauty and culture of wherever you are.
Seville cathedral is absolutely historical!
Seville cathedral is one of the largest churches in the world, and it must be one of the most beautiful! It was consecrated over 500 years ago and is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Inside the cathedral are also the remains of the famous explorer, Christopher Columbus and his son. Entry is 11 euros for adults, and that includes entry to La Giralda too. Spend at least one hour wandering around and viewing the stained glass windows.

Seville Cathedral
Seville Cathedral, one of the three largest cathedrals in the world, is truly magnificent. The location of the cathedral was originally a mosque, which was later converted into a Gothic-style Catholic cathedral. It took a century to complete and is very grand and spectacular.
"Seville Cathedral", one of the three largest cathedrals in the world.
Standing on the lower right side of Columbus's coffin, being stared at by a pair of sharp eyes, the front page of a history textbook is right in front of me.

Interior Wonderful Art
It is located at Av. de la Constitucion, s/n 41004 Sevilla.
The interior has the longest nave of any cathedral in Spain. The central nave rises to a height of 42 meters, the most noticeable features are the boxlike choir loft, which fills the central portion of the nave.
The cathedral has 80 chapels, including the Capilla Mayor. The chapel creates a dazzling impression. A masterpiece of Gothic woodcraving, this massive retablo ( 30mX20m ) features the Virgen de la Sede, surrounded by scenes from the life of Christ and Virgin.
The Tomb of Christopher Columbus is one of the main attractions of the Cathedral for visitors, housing the remains of the great explorer who died in poverty in Valladolid. The tomb itself is more recent, from 1892, with four bearers presenting the kingdoms of Castile, Leon, Aragon and Navarra.

Seville, Spain
Just a bunch of my favorite photos of the many times I visited Seville over the last couple of years. Doesn’t matter how many times you go this city will always make you leave a little bit more in love with it❤️❤️
Seville Cathedral is a Gothic cathedral, built by a wall with many pointed pillars on the top of the wall. The main facade of the cathedral has five main halls (36 meters high in the main hall) on the King's Square, and its main body is a 116-meter-long 76-meter-wide rectangular building. The highest cross is up to 40 meters. There are three main gates in the church: the main entrance is the gate of the prince, and the rest are the doors of baptism, Asuncion. On the side of the church, there is a square tower towering above the building. This is the famous Giralda. The tower is 98 meters high and is the only remaining part of the original Islamic temple building. There are various patterns on the wall of the tower that symbolize the Arab art. It shows the beauty of Arab architecture.
