#Mount Wutai Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
When you step into Wutai Mountain, your feelings will be greatly improved. You feel refreshed, cool and cool, itchy your heart, the air is clear, your eyes are cool, the sky is so blue. The blue is thorough and thorough, and it is dotted with the white and white clouds. The heart is bursting with tears. Unconsciously, the tears soaked in the eyes, and the inexplicable excitement is beyond words. Inside and outside the temple, cigarettes are lingering, and there is a mysterious and solemn atmosphere everywhere. A group of people came and went again with piety and confusion. Throughout the Wutai Mountains, the rafts, the gullies, the valleys and rivers, the forests and the mountains, the basins and the mountains are interlaced, the temples and temples are intertwined with each other, the scenery is picturesque, the peculiar peaks and cliffs, the sturdy and ancient pines and cypresses, and the overflowing Yunshan foggy sea. The magnificent temple towers and the larchs strolling through the mountains are built into a splendid world, forming a beautiful place with bright colors, suitable for people to browse and summer.
Mount Wutai, the gateway to the Buddhist holy land in Shanxi
✨✨ Located in the northeast of Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, Mount Wutai is the foremost among China's four famous Buddhist mountains, a holy land where Esoteric and Exoteric Buddhism coexist, and the sacred place of Manjushri Bodhisattva, who presides over wisdom. Today, I will share with you a detailed guide to a one-day tour of Mount Wutai.
1. Transportation🚖
Mount Wutai Airport is about 100 kilometers away from the scenic area, and Taiyuan Wusu Airport is 240 kilometers away. To get to Mount Wutai scenic area from Taiyuan, you need to go to Taiyuan East Bus Station to take a coach.
2. Tour Route🚸

Afternoon: Pay homage to the Wufang Manjushri on the top of Dailuo Peak, known as the 'Small Pilgrimage'.
3. Temple Introduction🙏🏻
【Wuye Temple】
Wuye Temple is the most popular temple on Mount Wutai. Originally a small temple belonging to Tayuan Temple, it became the most incense-burning temple on Mount Wutai due to the 'Wuye's' reputation for granting whatever is asked. As the saying goes, 'It's not the height of the mountain that makes it divine, but the presence of immortals; it's not the depth of the water that makes it divine, but the presence of dragons.'
【Shuxiang Temple】
Shuxiang Temple is the ancestral temple of Manjushri on Mount Wutai. The Great Manjushri Hall in the temple houses the largest statue of Manjushri on Mount Wutai. Manjushri Bodhisattva, who governs wisdom, is known as the teacher of Buddhas and has taught seven Buddhas, which speaks volumes about the vastness of Manjushri's wisdom.
【Xiantong Temple】
Xiantong Temple is the earliest and largest temple on Mount Wutai. Two thousand years ago, during the Yongping period of the Eastern Han Dynasty, two high monks, She Moteng and Zhu Falan, built China's first temple - White Horse Temple - on the outskirts of the then capital, Luoyang. Xiantong Temple on Mount Wutai was built by these two monks after they came to Mount Wutai, making it the second temple on Chinese soil.
【Tayuan Temple】
In many people's minds, Mount Wutai is associated with a majestic and tall White Pagoda. This pagoda, officially named the Sakyamuni Relic Pagoda, was built during the Ming Dynasty's Wanli era. Standing at 56.3 meters, it is a landmark of Mount Wutai. The temple where this pagoda is located is called Tayuan Temple, and as the name suggests, the temple is named after the pagoda.
【Dailuo Peak】
Dailuo Peak is located on a small mountain peak to the east of Taihuai Town. Ascending the 1080 steps of the 'Great Wisdom Path' from the foot of the mountain, you can worship the Wufang Manjushri Hall on the top of Dailuo Peak. The hall enshrines Manjushri from the east, west, south, north, and center, equivalent to paying homage to the Manjushri of the five peaks of Mount Wutai, hence the name 'Small Pilgrimage'.
4. Cost💰
Ticket: The entrance fee is 135 yuan. If you reserve a ticket through the 'Holy Land Service' official WeChat account, you will receive free explanations at three temples, free admission to Wuye Temple, Shuxiang Temple, 10 yuan for Bodhisattva Peak, 10 yuan for Xiantong Temple, 8 yuan for Dailuo Peak, and 10 yuan for Tayuan Temple.

Manjushri Bodhisattva once made a grand vow: 'As long as you come to Mount Wutai, I guarantee you will see me. However, in what form I appear to you, you will not know. The leaf, the flower, the stone, or the creature you encounter, each being may be an illusion of Manjushri Bodhisattva, all just to meet us. Imagine, what a wonderful encounter of beings that would be.

DiscoveringNewHorizons_777 The cigarette smoke dissipates, and I'm glad to see the sunshine
I came to Mount Wutai early this morning, and it's fair to say I've had a half-day tour of Mount Wutai.
I visited several temples on Mount Wutai one after another. Even though it's not a holiday or the peak tourist season, there are still many people visiting Mount Wutai.
The temples are full of people, but it's said that this is considered a low turnout. After all, during the real peak season, you have to queue up several times just to get in.
After coming to Mount Wutai, my biggest question was how these temples were built on the mountains, some even on the mountain tops.
This time at Mount Wutai, I started descending from the "Bodhisattva Summit" and visited several temples along the way, including "Xiantong Temple", "Tayuan Temple", "Wuye Temple", and "Shuxiang Temple". Each temple had more visitors than the last. Most people choose to walk from the bottom up, but I suggest walking from the top down might be better, as there are indeed many steps to walk down.
Coming here, in addition to seeing various temples, the mountain scenery is really beautiful. One cannot help but marvel at the natural wonders. Moreover, there's still some unmelted snow on some of the mountain tops, a place where the vitality of people and nature merge.

As long as you come, I will definitely go to meet you at Mount Wutai
As long as you come, I will definitely go to meet you at Mount Wutai.
Manjushri Bodhisattva once made a great vow, 'As long as you come to Mount Wutai, I guarantee that I will meet you, but in what form I will meet you, you do not know.'
Today, I will take you to Mount Wutai, to have an encounter with Manjushri Bodhisattva.
Name: Original name: Qingliang Mountain Current name: Mount Wutai Age: Over 1800 years old
Date of Birth: Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 AD) Place of Birth: Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province Appearance: Manjushri Bodhisattva's dojo
Personal Honors: ①One of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China ②National natural and cultural dual heritage
Folklore:
1. The five peaks of Mount Wutai are transformed from the five fingers of Manjushri Bodhisattva, known as 'Wufeng Mountain'.
2. Manjushri Bodhisattva also moved the 'Resting Dragon Stone' (also known as Qingliang Stone) from the East Sea, and since then Mount Wutai has changed from a desolate scene to a mountain full of greenery and unparalleled coolness.
3. When the five dragons discovered that the Resting Dragon Stone was missing, they chased it to Wufeng Mountain, and with a sweep of their tails, the peak tips turned into terraces.
4. Later, the five dragons were subdued by Manjushri Bodhisattva, converted to Buddhism, and have been protecting Mount Wutai life after life. Among them, the fifth son, Shengyan, is in charge of wealth, commonly known as 'Wu Ye'
Immersed in Mount Wutai, I perceive the beauty of the soul
Upon arriving at the pure land of Mount Wutai, with three sticks of incense burning, I wish that all desires are fulfilled, and all thoughts come true.
❄️When I came to Mount Wutai, the foremost of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of China, from Beijing, it wasn't long before the sky started to flutter with snowflakes. The average summer temperature is 13.7°C, and the average winter temperature is -10.7°C, which is a stark contrast to the weather in Beijing, hence it is also known as the Cool Mountain.
⛰️The highest peak, North Terrace Ye Dou Peak, has an elevation of 3058 meters and is known as the 'Roof of North China,' with an average elevation of over 1000 meters.
🙃The White Pagoda of Tayuan Temple is currently under renovation, and not seeing the White Pagoda feels like something is missing.
🌅Watching the sunrise from the East Terrace should also be on the travel list.
The Guanghua Temple originally had a night view, but it is temporarily closed due to special circumstances.
Mount Wutai is the bodhimanda of Manjushri and is the only Buddhist sanctuary in China where temples of the Gelug (Yellow) and Sakya (Blue) schools of Tibetan Buddhism shine together. Especially the Wuye Temple, which is very popular. There are 47 temples within the scenic area, but not all are open to the public. The scenic area is quite large, and it takes at least two days to visit properly. When I went, it was the off-season, so there was no need to queue for worship. However, during the peak season, it is extremely crowded and queuing is necessary.
The only vegetarian Dicos in the country, with high-end solid wood decoration, is worth a try.
⛰️A must-visit spot in Mount Wutai is to climb to the top of Dai Liao, which has a total of 1080 steps. Climbing in the snow is really tough, but once you reach the top, you can have a panoramic view of Mount Wutai, or you can take the cable car (one-way 50, round-trip 85).
❗❗❗Be sure to book a parking spot and tickets through the mini-program when you come.
There are many homestays and restaurants around, including chain hotels and high-end hotels. Many homestays have restaurants on the ground floor with accommodations above, and the food is made by the locals themselves.
🎫Ticket price: Peak season full ticket 168 yuan per person, off-season 140 yuan per person (there are also half-price tickets, and free admission for certain groups, see the scenic area policy for details). Tourist sightseeing car ticket: 50 yuan per person.
⏰Business hours: Open all year round.

Mount Wutai
Mount Wutai is located in the northeast of Shanxi Province, at the northern end of the Taihang Mountain range, and is composed of a series of large mountains and peaks. As one of China's four major Buddhist holy sites, Mount Wutai not only has ancient temples and pagodas, as well as the inherent scenery of Buddhism with incense smoke curling upwards, but also boasts five flat and broad mountaintops that reach high into the sky. The elevation of each of the five peaks is around 3,000 meters above sea level. The construction of temples began as early as during the reign of Emperor Wen of Sui. The positions of the five mountaintops resemble the upward-facing palm of a right hand with fingers closed together, each finger representing one of the mountaintops. The five peaks of Mount Wutai are surrounded by the East Peak (Wanghai Peak), West Peak (Guayue Peak), South Peak (Jinxiu Peak), North Peak (Yedou Peak), and Central Peak (Cuiyan Peak), respectively. The five peaks stand tall above the clouds, with no trees on their summits, flat and broad, like earthen terraces, hence the name Wutai, which means 'Five Terraces'. It is said that Mount Wutai was previously known as Wufeng
In this life, one must visit Dachao Platform at least once, a practice that takes five hundred years of cultivation
In this life, one must visit Dachao Platform at least once, a practice that takes five hundred years of cultivation.
Mount Wutai, the foremost among the four great Buddhist mountains, is the sacred place of Manjushri Bodhisattva.
Manjushri Bodhisattva is known for his wisdom, which is considered the greatest among the bodhisattvas, hence he is also called 'Great Wisdom' Manjushri.
Mount Wutai is not a single mountain, but a series of peaks situated atop the 'ridge of North China'.
Visiting Mount Wutai usually involves visiting both the Great and Small Dachao Platforms.
👉Great Five Peaks (Great Dachao Platform): East Peak Wanghai Peak, the best spot for watching the sunrise; West Peak Gua Yue Peak, an excellent place for moon viewing; South Peak Jinxiu Peak, abundant with medicinal herbs and flowers; North Peak Yedou Peak, the highest peak in North China; Central Peak Cuiyan Peak, overlooking the entire Mount Wutai.
👉Small Five Peaks (within the temple complex): Corresponding high points within the temple complex to the Great Five Peaks. East Peak Dailuo Top, West Peak Shouning Temple, South Peak Fanxian Mountain, North Peak Bodhisattva Top, Central Peak Dabai Pagoda.
👉Dailuo Top (Small Dachao Platform): If you don't climb Dailuo Top, you're not considered a pilgrim.
It concentrates the five kinds of Dharma images of Manjushri Bodhisattva from the five peaks, and climbing Dailuo Top is equivalent to visiting all five platforms, allowing one to worship five Manjushri Bodhisattvas at once. You can take the cable car or walk the 1080 steps of the 'Great Wisdom Road'.
👉Temple Cluster (famous temples):
Wuye Temple: Originally called Wanfo Pavilion, commonly known as Wuye Temple. It is the most popular and reputed to be the most efficacious temple.
Shuxiang Temple: Home to a 9-meter-tall Manjushri Bodhisattva, the largest in Mount Wutai.
👉Tayuan Temple: A landmark building of Mount Wutai, currently under renovation.
👉Luohou Temple: A very well-preserved Yellow Temple, with the famous 'Blossoming and Seeing Buddha' Manjushri Bodhisattva in the rear hall.
Xiantong Temple: The ancestral temple of Mount Wutai, also the highest-status and largest Buddhist temple on the mountain, dating back over 2000 years. It houses the rare pillarless and beamless Wuliang Hall.
Bodhisattva Top: The leading Yellow Temple of Mount Wutai, a royal temple. Emperors like Qianlong and Kangxi used it as their palace when visiting Mount Wutai.
👉Guanghua Temple: Really super super super beautiful.
👉Fanxian Mountain: For seeking marriage and unexpected wealth.
These temples are very close to each other, all within the temple cluster. There are also slightly more distant temples like Longquan Temple that are well worth a visit.
If it's your first time visiting Mount Wutai, you can prioritize the temple cluster and the Small Dachao Platform. The Great Dachao Platform requires more time and is quite a test of physical strength.
💚Mount Wutai is truly worth a visit, each temple has its own history, and the architectural styles are all different and fascinating. Those with some knowledge of Buddhism should be able to see many stories.
As for someone like me who easily forgets even after listening to explanations, it's still very worthwhile to worship purely, with sincerity being the main focus.
Mount Wutai, a real-life Buddhist realm, may everyone's wishes come true.
💚Some tips:
1. Buy tickets online in advance, as only half-price tickets are sold on-site, etc.
2. The scenic area's signs are not very clear, so it might be helpful to take photos of the scenic and bus maps.
3. The opening hours of each temple vary, so it's good to take note.
4. It's convenient to stay in the area from the tourist center to Dailuo Top, where there is a scenic area bus.
5. It's best to plan for 2-3 days.

As agile as a bird, as swift as an arrow | Jinbei's Nanchan Temple & Foguang Temple
With an endless stream of tourists and study groups, Nanchan Temple and Foguang Temple at the southern foot of Mount Wutai have become pilgrimage sites, simply because they house the two oldest wooden structures from the Tang Dynasty in China. The photos may seem ordinary, but they exude a simple and grand atmosphere, showcasing the distinctive style of Tang Dynasty architecture!
Nanchan Temple: The Great Buddha Hall was built in the third year of the Tang Dynasty's Jianzhong era (AD 782), making it over 1200 years old and the oldest existing wooden structure from the Tang Dynasty in China. It is also one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. Although small in scale, the Great Buddha Hall is exquisitely crafted, with a simple technique that embodies the grand and minimalist artistic style of the Tang Dynasty. The temple houses 17 exquisite Tang Dynasty colored sculptures, which are considered treasures of Tang Dynasty sculpture art (photography is prohibited, and two Bodhisattva statues in front of the Great Buddha have been stolen).
Foguang Temple: The temple's main hall, the East Great Hall, was completed in the eleventh year of the Tang Dynasty's Dazhong era (AD 857). In terms of construction date, it ranks third after the Nanchan Temple's main hall in Wutai County and the Guangrenwang Temple in Ruicheng County (AD 831) among the existing wooden structures in China, making it the most complete and largest of the existing Tang Dynasty wooden buildings. Foguang Temple's Tang Dynasty architecture, sculptures, murals, and inscriptions are all of high historical and artistic value, earning it the nickname 'The Four Excellences'.
Tips: Gain knowledge - Liang Sicheng, Lin Huiyin, and Foguang Temple
Not far from Nanchan Temple, Foguang Temple became world-famous because of Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin, turning it into a holy site for lovers of ancient architecture, paying tribute to the two masters. The discovery of Foguang Temple's Tang Dynasty structures is credited to the famous Chinese scholar Mr. Liang Sicheng. While reading Paul Pelliot's 'Dunhuang Grottoes Catalogue', Mr. Liang noticed the depiction of the 'Great Buddha's Light Temple' in Cave 61 (see 'Architect Liang Sicheng' by Lin Zhu) and was inspired. To verify the hypothesis that 'there must still be Tang structures in domestic temples', he made a special trip to Mount Wutai in Shanxi Province in 1937 to search for treasures. Mr. Liang personally wrote a detailed, specific, and vivid account of the inspection process of Foguang Temple's Tang Dynasty structures.
I really want to sculpt a statue of myself here, to accompany this devout Tang Dynasty noblewoman, sitting cross-legged in this solemn and silent place for a thousand years. - Lin Huiyin
Tips: Gain knowledge - Tang Dynasty Wooden Structures
There are a total of three complete and two 'half' Tang Dynasty wooden structures preserved in the country, with three and a half of them in Shanxi.
1. The main hall of Guangrenwang Temple in Ruicheng; built in the sixth year of the Tang Dynasty's Dahui era (AD 832), near Yongle Palace.
2. The Great Buddha Hall of Nanchan Temple in Wutai; the earliest existing Tang Dynasty wooden structure. Built in the third year of the Tang Dynasty's Jianzhong era (AD 782).
3. The East Great Hall of Foguang Temple in Wutai; constructed in the eleventh year of the Tang Dynasty's Dazhong era, which is AD 857. From the beams to the doors and windows, it has been well-preserved for over a thousand years.
Half: Tiantai An in Pingshun, Shanxi; its main wooden structure is from the late Tang Dynasty, specifically the fourth year of Tianyou (AD 907).
Half: The bell tower inside Kaiyuan Temple in Zhengding, Hebei; its lower level is still the original Tang Dynasty structure, which is very precious.
The Wutai Mountain after snow is the divine presence in my heart
After the snow, Wutai Mountain resembles an ink wash landscape painting, ancient and elegant, serene and peaceful. The mountain peaks are covered with white snow, the branches of trees are adorned with silver, and the red walls and golden tiles of the temples appear even more solemn and mysterious against the backdrop of the snow. This scene is intoxicating, as if one were in a fairyland.
Sunlight filters through the clouds and sprinkles on the earth, giving a warm feeling. Standing at the summit and looking down, the expanse of pure white snow is refreshing and uplifting. Such a sight seems to cleanse the soul's dust, seeking inner peace and elevation. This place is a masterpiece of nature, a holy land of Buddhism, and the pure and flawless fairyland that people yearn for.
Mount Wutai, a renowned Buddhist mountain, is bustling with incense and worshipers
Mount Wutai, the foremost among the four great Buddhist mountains, is the sacred place of Manjushri Bodhisattva. Manjushri Bodhisattva is known for his supreme wisdom among all bodhisattvas, hence he is also called 'Great Wisdom' Manjushri.
A pure land on earth, three pillars of incense burning, may all wishes be fulfilled, and may every path taken lead to a smooth journey! Mount Wutai is located in the northeastern part of Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, covering an area of 2,837 square kilometers. Centered around Taihuai Town, it is surrounded by five peaks to the east, west, south, north, and center, rising above the clouds with barren summits resembling earthen platforms, hence named Mount Wutai. The highest peak, North Terrace's Yedou Peak, reaches an altitude of 3,058 meters and is known as the 'Roof of North China'.
Each temple on Mount Wutai has its own history, and the architectural styles are also varied and splendid. Those with some knowledge of Buddhism should be able to see many stories. Mount Wutai, a real-life Buddhist realm, may everyone's wishes come true.
Mount Wutai Self-Driving Guide
1. First, book a vehicle, which you can drive in. If you can't book one, you can take the free bus
2. Choose a hotel in the scenic area, and select a clean guesthouse, avoiding the peak period (holidays and weekends)
3. Wuye Temple opens its doors the earliest, after paying respects to Wuye, you can visit other temples.
Embrace the world, travel alone, and you can take pictures without a stand
At that time, I was next to Baohua Temple in Wutai Mountain
It is located in a remote mountain with few people. I got up very early and the sun had not risen when I arrived
I walked around the temple, and the scenery nearby is attractive enough
Different from the mountains on my side, there are many cattle and sheep. It is very similar to the Xinjiang scenery I have seen, although there is no snow mountain here
Still red walls
I didn't bring a stand for the journey, I only brought a camera
The morning dew soaked my shoes and socks, so I spent an afternoon drying my shoes
The camera can be placed on the ground for shooting, you can choose a higher stone, Fuji self-timer mode to look at the phone
When I go out, I find that Fuji must have at least 2 batteries, otherwise it will basically run out of power after shooting in the morning. This is still the case when I use it sparingly. The quality of this jacket and backpack is really good. I play with them every day, and my overalls
I miscalculated and didn't have clothes to wear. I always want to wear comfortable and free clothes when I go out

The full name of the big white tower is Sakyamuni Relic Tower, commonly known as the big white tower. The tower rises from the ground and towers into the sky, which is quite spectacular under the crowd of temples in Mount Wutai. People regard it as the symbol of Mount Wutai
-Third stop Shuxiang Temple
Manjushri teacher's dojo, seeking knowledge and wisdom.

Every girl should visit Mount Wutai once in her lifetime
The scenery along the way is beautiful. Although the mountain in winter has shed its robe, it is still magnificent and gentle. The mountains stretch continuously, showing their majesty. The snow that fell a while ago is reluctant to shed its white wedding dress, adorning the mountains, everything is so harmonious, beautiful!
Upon arriving at the Mount Wutai scenic area, the slowly flowing river, even in sub-zero temperatures, seems to have a certain power. Even if there is still snow on the roadside, the water is still flowing... laughing...
There are many green pines on the mountain, straight and upright. In winter, almost everywhere is a dull gray-brown, but the green pines are a bright spot, paired with the temple walls, it is refreshing. The chanting in the temple, the music and the smell of incense give me a pure land of mind, quiet, solid, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, looking for a pure land of mind, the heart is quiet, people are relaxed! Stay there for one night, let the heart have more time to settle, on the way down the mountain, I thought about becoming a volunteer in the temple one day, becoming a destined person of Buddha, wishing that all wishes can be realized, everything goes well in the future, peace, health!
Upon first sight of Mount Wutai, I encountered a double rainbow
I went to Mount Wutai to pray for blessings in the summer, and despite the scorching heat, Mount Wutai was very cool. The original name of Mount Wutai is Qingliang Mountain, and it truly lives up to its name! There are many temples on Mount Wutai, and the locals herding cattle on the mountain also form a beautiful landscape. This trip to Mount Wutai was a self-driving tour. On the way up the mountain, be careful to avoid the wandering 🐂. On the last day, I went to Longquan Temple to ask for holy water. After asking for the holy water, before leaving, a double rainbow 🌈 suddenly appeared in the sky, which was very shocking. I hope that the Bodhisattva will bless everything to go smoothly🙏🙏🙏

Mount Wutai under the warm winter sun
Mount Wutai, located in the northeast of Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, is now a national AAAAA tourist attraction, a national key scenic spot, a national geological park, a national natural and cultural dual heritage, one of the top ten famous mountains in China, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, and one of the five major Buddhist holy places in the world.
Mount Wutai is located at 38°50' to 39°05' north latitude and 113°29' to 113°44' east longitude, with a total area of 2837 square kilometers. Centered on Taihuai Town, there are five peaks standing around the east, west, south, north, and middle. They are above the clouds, with no trees on the top of the mountain, like a platform of piled soil, called Wutai. The highest point, North Tai Yedou Peak, is 3058 meters above sea level and is known as the 'Roof of North China'.
Mount Wutai is the dojo of Manjushri Bodhisattva and the only Buddhist dojo in China where green and yellow temples shine together. It is also a tourist scenic spot integrating natural scenery, historical relics, ancient architectural art, Buddhist culture, folk customs, and summer resort. There are 47 existing temples, 39 inside the platform and 8 outside, many of which were built by imperial edict and many emperors came to worship. Famous ones include: Xiantong Temple, Tayuan Temple, Bodhisattva Top, Nanshan Temple, Dailuo Top, Guangji Temple, Wanfo Pavilion, etc.
Winter self-driving day trip guide to Mount Wutai
Mount Wutai is located in Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. It is one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China and one of the five major Buddhist holy places in the world. Mount Wutai is the dojo of Manjusri Bodhisattva. Manjusri Bodhisattva once vowed: As long as you come to Mount Wutai, I will ensure that I will meet you. As for how we meet, it is unknown to you. This time we chose to drive from Beijing to Mount Wutai, and the detailed guide is as follows.
🦌Route planning:
Morning: Wuye Temple-Tayuan Temple-Luohou Temple-Daxian Tong Temple-Bodhisattva Top
Afternoon: Guanghua Temple-Dailuo Top-Return
🎈Wuye Temple: It is said that it is better to worship on an empty stomach in the morning, and you can go to breakfast after worshiping. Wuye Temple mainly seeks career and wealth. Wuye is the most popular incense among all temples, and there are many people, so you need to queue up.
🥣About vegetarian meals: Guanghua Temple and Puhua Temple are more famous, but we are a bit far from Puhua Temple, so we chose Guanghua Temple. The comparison of vegetarian meals in the two temples is as follows:
1⃣️The vegetarian meal at Guanghua Temple is free, and the meal time is 10:30-13:30. There are fewer types, but it is also very fragrant. There is also a vegetarian self-service hot pot (there are fewer seats, if you want to go, you need to queue up early)
2⃣️The vegetarian meal at Puhua Temple is self-service, with more types, and a charge of 38 yuan.
Precautions:
1⃣️If you are a self-driving tourist, remember to make a reservation for the parking lot one day in advance, otherwise you will not be able to drive in.
2⃣️All incense cannot be inserted in the hall, it needs to be burned in the incense burner.
3⃣️It is recommended to visit the temple clockwise, and the temple cannot step on the threshold.
4⃣️Some temples need to charge separately, remember to prepare cash, the ticket for Bodhisattva Top is 10 yuan and only cash is accepted.
This time we drove the Haval Mavron, this model looks like a square box, the design is square and rich in texture, the lines are very smooth, the size is moderate, and there is fashionable color matching, the smooth and full side of the car body is eye-catching. After starting the engine, you can clearly feel that the power is very sufficient, the back push feeling is very strong, overall this model is really good.
Golden Pavilion Floating in the Sky | A Visit to the Ancient Buildings of Jinge Temple in Wutai County
Located 15 kilometers southwest of Taihuai Town in Wutai Mountain, there is a temple on the ridge of the Golden Pavilion, called Jinge Temple. Apart from the temples on the top of the five platforms, this temple is located at the highest altitude - 2013 meters above sea level. On a clear day, standing in front of the temple and looking into the distance, the mountains are undulating, the white clouds are floating, the sea of fog is pervasive, and the vastness is boundless.
According to records, Jinge Temple has a very close relationship with the spread of Chinese Esoteric Buddhism and one of the founders of Esoteric Buddhism, Master Bukong. In the fifth year of the Dali period of the Tang Dynasty (770), the Tripitaka Master Bukong from India was ordered to go to Wutai Mountain. He founded Jinge Temple based on the 'Golden Pavilion Floating in the Sky' where Manjushri Bodhisattva appeared.
The architectural style of Jinge Temple is modeled after the most famous temple in India at that time, Nalanda Temple. It was supervised by the Pure Vow Master of Nalanda Temple in India and built according to the sutra. Nalanda Temple, located east of the city of King Mojie in ancient India, is now in Baragon, Bihar, India. It was the largest Buddhist temple and the highest Buddhist academy in ancient India. The whole temple has eight courtyards, with treasure platforms lined up and jade buildings towering. At its peak, there were often ten thousand monks and guests. During the construction of Jinge Temple, due to Master Bukong's deep favor from the court and the people, the whole country supported it. From the royal relatives and hundreds of officials to the common people, they all donated. Emperor Dazong of the Tang Dynasty even ordered the ten military governors of the country to help build the temple. The monks went to all parts of the country to raise donations for the construction of Jinge Temple. The project was completed in five years. Jinge Temple

Shanxi is definitely an underestimated treasure place. The people in Shanxi we met this week are really very hospitable and enthusiastic. Using Dong Yuhui's words, 'Time seems to favor this land of Shanxi, so it leaves many traces of its past here.' Only by coming here in person can you feel its unique charm.
Because each place is far apart, it is recommended to charter a car to go!
The top ten places to visit in Shanxi!
In the vast land of Sanjin, Shanxi, there are ten places you must visit. They are like bright pearls on the loess plateau, each with its own characteristics, exuding unique charm.
First, we are going to visit the Hanging Temple of Hengshan. This building, which was built during the Northern Wei Dynasty, has a history of more than 1500 years and is the most dangerous high-altitude wooden cliff building in the world. It hangs in the air like a painting, hanging on the cliff, which is breathtaking.
Next, we are going to Wutai Mountain in Xinzhou. As the first of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, Wutai Mountain not only has monks of dry boats, but also can see the horns of Tibetan boats. It is the intersection of faith and culture, which makes people awe.
Then, let's come to Ying County and admire the highest tomb tower building in the world - Ying County Wooden Tower. This building, more than 60 meters high, does not use a nail or rivet, and is built entirely by traditional mortise and tenon technology. It is tilting every year, and it is a precious building that you see less once.
Then, we come to the Eight Springs Gorge of Taihang Mountain. This is the essence of the Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon, known as the peak of mountain and water scenery in Shanxi. The canyon is deep, and the mountain spring waterfall flows, which is intoxicating.
In addition, we are going to visit Yanmenguan in Xinzhou. The history here can be traced back to the Warring States Period. The stories of Zhaojun going out of the fortress and the Yang family are well-known, and it is known as the first pass in China.
Next, let's walk into the Yungang Grottoes in Datong. As one of the four major grottoes in China, the Yungang Grottoes were built during the Northern Wei Dynasty. The statues here blend the essence of traditional Chinese art style, ancient Indian culture and Western Region culture, which is breathtaking.
Then, we are going to Linchuan Wangmangling. The forest coverage rate here is over 95%, and the summer temperature remains between 18~20 degrees, which is an ideal place for summer in Shanxi.
In addition, we are going to admire the Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River. Although the Hukou Waterfall spans Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, the water of the Yellow River here is surging and surging, like a rush from the sky, giving people a strong visual impact.
Finally, we are going to Pingyao Ancient City in Jinzhong. This is the only ancient county town in the country that has successfully applied for World Cultural Heritage as a whole ancient city. It is full of the atmosphere of ancient Jin merchants' culture, which makes people feel as if they have traveled through time and space and returned to that prosperous era.
