#Mondrian Singapore Duxton Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Cosy Rooms and Scenic Poolside Vibes
It's been a while since my last staycation, but I decided to stay at Mondrian Singapore Duxton.
Located in Duxton, the hotel is surrounded by many cafes, making it a convenient and lively spot. The lobby is adorned with beautiful artwork, creating a visually appealing entrance. The rooms are super chic-small but cozy, providing a comfortable atmosphere.
My favorite part of the stay was the pool, offering stunning views of the city. The cabanas on the side are a great addition, but they need to be booked in the afternoon, so it can get crowded but the night view from the pool is amazing too!!
Breakfast was quite good, with a mixture of à la carte and buffet options. I opted for the chili crab omelette, which was quite good.
Overall, it was a relaxing stay, and I enjoyed every moment.

Mondrian Hotel: A Fusion of Art, Luxury, and Comfort in Singapore
#hotelreview
Our recent stay at Mondrian marked our first experience at this relatively new hotel in Singapore.
Mondrian stands out with its striking KAWS installation adorning its facade, making it Southeast Asia's first permanent KAWS display. The hotel impresses with its stylish spaces, featuring a curated collection of international and locally commissioned artwork. We particularly enjoyed the luxurious amenities provided by MALIN+GOETZ, with their bergamot shower gel being a standout. The interior design and furniture in our room were exquisite, with the emerald green stool catching our eye. We appreciated the addition of a sofa and table, providing a comfortable space for meals, a departure from the typical working desk setup. The carefully curated music playlist perfectly complemented the hotel's aesthetics. Overall, our stay at Mondrian was enhanced by these thoughtful details, including encountering various artworks throughout the hotel.

A 6-meter KAWS Sculpture in Singapore!
Stepping into @Mondrian Singapore Duxton felt like entering a whole new dimension of creativity and culture. Surrounded by the buzz of Singapore's vibrant scene, and right there, towering over everything, is the incredible 6-meter KAWS bronze sculpture, WHAT PARTY. It's the first of its kind in Asia, and being able to experience it firsthand is just mind-blowing. The collaboration between Mondrian and The Artling has infused every corner of the hotel with this artistic energy that's both invigorating and luxurious. It's not just a hotel stay; it's a journey through art and adventure.

Latest iconic piece of art in town 🤩
Say hi to the first permanent KAWS sculpture in Asia at Mondrian Singapore Duxton! It is located near Tanjong Pagar MRT.
The sculpture is over 6m tall. Can you believe it? and it's standing at the new Duxton 24 hour linkway that links Craig road, Neil road, with Duxton Hill. You can enjoy it for free!
Mondrian Singapore Duxton hotel is art-focused with artistic artworks inside the hotel as well, including works from local artists such as Andre Wee and Dawn Ng. I would love to stay at this hotel next time!

Beautiful rooftop pool and bar
Tried out this fairly new hotel located at Maxwell. Walking distance to Maxwell MRT and Maxwell food centre. You can also walk to Chinatown.
The reception is located at level 4, which is also where the restaurant / breakfast area is. The check-in was fast and you need to transfer to the lifts at level 4 to reach the guestrooms.
Room is clean and pretty decent. Good for a short staycation. They have a nice pool and bar at the rooftop, which overlook the city area.
The breakfast is OK but not many choices given. Most of it are western style breakfast. Service is fast though, not a lot of people when we visited.

Gorgeous Infinity Pool (Not just MBS!)
Had a fabulous staycation at the newly opened Mondrian at Duxton Hotel. Paid around $300 for a 2D1N stay (got this deal during the soft launch) just for the room itself. The infinity pool is simply gorgeous and I love the anti slip flooring in the pool. The pool was almost empty on a Saturday late morning thus allowing us to take plenty of photos 📸

Mondrian Singapore - a bumpy ride
My first Mondrian experience was… sadly bumpy 😅
The good: the hotel itself is quite pretty and photogenic with its glossy dark jade & brown tones: compact but functional room, great welcome / anniversary amenities, and one of the best bedroom slippers I’ve ever tried. Gorgeous rooftop pool offering plenty of IG worthy spots too ❤️
The bad: not the most seamless check in experience, spotty service and rude staff at Bottega when redeeming welcome drinks, and finally being told that the property does not participate in the Accor programme and hence points accrual is not possible BUT they will post the points for me as an “exception”. This is despite the fact that Accor’s official site for the hotel clearly states that members are able to earn points when staying at the property. So what gives?? 🤷🏻♀️
Prior to this stay, I was already informed that the property does not participate in Accor Plus but that’s a separate programme from Accor itself. So which is actually correct? 🤨

Aesthetic, simple stay!
Love the surrounding. Easy to find & to get to anywhere else, convenient as located pretty mid of food & transport. The vibeeee, staffs were friendly & everything was so nice! They do not have bidet, so -1 for that. We’re got quite a mid floor so the view wasn’t perfect but not bad. Looks good at night too! Complimentary tea, coffee & alkaline water, fridge is cold.

SINGAPORE’S 1ST SOUTH AMERICAN FINE DINING!
I had an unforgettable gastronomic journey at Araya, where the essence of Chilean South Pacific cuisine meets the sophistication of Japanese ingredients. The soulful heritage and culinary adventures of Chefs Francisco Araya and Fernanda Guerrero as they transport you through Chile, the South Pacific, and Japan with every bite was simply incredible. Every dish was a labour of love and a celebration of the finest ingredients meticulously sourced from Chile and beyond. I’m certain they are on the top of the list to receive a Michelin Star this year.

South American flavors!
Introducing Araya, a culinary odyssey of Chilean South Pacific origins helmed by Michelin-starred chef Francisco Araya and chef Fernanda Guerrero. Secreted within The Mondrian, the intimate 30-seat space will serve as a culinary playground for the couple to celebrate their native South American flavours in soulful contemporary tasting menus.
Expect creations like a traditional Brazilian Moqueca (fish stew) elevated with the use of Japanese kinki, which imbue the dish with elegance while allowing its classical flavours to shine. A ceviche will feature shio koji-cured slivers of scallops bathed in a tiger's milk sorbet tinged with ginger and green apples. The latter flavours are a nod to Chef Francisco's time in Japan and the numerous Japanese diaspora spread throughout South America.

Wholesome Valentine's Day Escapes
Address: Mondrian Singapore Duxton, 16A Duxton Hill, Singapore 089970
Price: 💰💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nestled between Maxwell, Chinatown, and Outram MRT stations, Mondrian Singapore Duxton proved to be a gem in the heart of the city. Check-in was a breeze, with a thoughtful early bag drop service.
The room, adorned with brown and jade accents, showcased intelligent space utilization, creating an open yet cozy ambiance.
Personalized robes and slippers added a touch of luxury, and the well-equipped bathroom, though lacking a bidet, featured quality amenities.
A charming sitting area allowed us to indulge in Valentine's Day crafts, despite the compact room size. The minibar, stocked with a variety of beverages, and smart lighting options added to the comfort.
The corner room offered a splendid view of the city skyline, and the plush bed ensured a restful night. Smart features like adjustable lighting and a warm air-conditioned room contributed to a delightful stay.
The gym, though small, remained uncrowded, and the pool, with an integrated jacuzzi and panoramic city views, provided a relaxing escape.
Mondrian's attentive staff and the overall experience left a lasting impression. I look forward to returning for another memorable stay, grateful for the chance to experience this haven through Trip.com's #freehotelstay campaign. Thank you, Trip.com, for making this luxurious escape possible!

Singapore in style!
Wow!
The signature scent as you walk through the lobby doors to the Mondrian immediately sets up the rest of your Mondrian stay. On your left is the first of the stylish restaurants/bars in hotel. You take the elegant loft to the 1F where you are met with a stunning Italian restaurant with beautiful decor. Turning right, you can pass through the Jungle garden with water features and breathtaking greenery.
The Mondrian check in team were very helpful and friendly. The room was stunning and had a beautiful view.
I highly recommend the rooftop bar and the infinity pool. I ate at the Italian restaurant with friends and the staff and food were equally excellent. I will definitely be booking here again and couldn’t recommend more. #cocktail #style #Singapore #infinitypool
