Qingdao | Travel Guide Day 1
You can stay near Zhongshan Road on the first day.
One very convenient aspect of touring in Qingdao is that
the various attractions are very close to each other,
and you can walk almost the entire way.
Thus, you can visit many attractions in one day
and it's very relaxing.
📍Zhanqiao Pier Area: P1-P2
To see the seagulls, it's suggested to walk to the Zhanqiao Pier Area around 10 a.m. There are many professional photographers, uncles and aunties, by the seaside. If you're traveling alone, you can pay them to take photos (they have good photography skills and can guide your poses).
📍Yinyu Alley: P3-P7
Yinyu Alley has many exquisite shops, such as coffee shops, clothing stores, jewelry stores, etc. The bagels and milk sold at the coffee shop at the entrance are very delicious, and you can have a brunch here.
📍Church: P8-P9
The ticket to enter the church is 10 yuan each.
📍Signal Hill Park: P10-P11
From the top of Signal Hill Park, you can overlook parts of the city. It's recommended to take a taxi directly to the west gate entrance. Entering from the west gate allows you to reach the top of the hill the fastest. There is no fee to enter the park; however, there is a revolving staircase at the top that requires a ticket to enter. Personally, I don't recommend it, as the view from the staircase is not much different from the view outside...
📍Lu Xun Park: P12-P15
Lu Xun Park is by the seaside, where you can enjoy a deep visit. The beachside is very photogenic.
📍Qinyu Road: P16
Qinyu Road is most famous for the "Lonely Tree," which you can find by searching "Lonely Tree" on the map for navigation. You need to queue up to take photos here. There are many cafes (especially recommend Wilder) and restaurants on Qinyu Road. Through the windows of the cafes, you can directly see the sea and the sunset. Recommendations for cafes and restaurants will be covered in a separate post later.
📍Little Qingdao Park: P17-P18
There is no entrance fee for Little Qingdao Park. In fact, the entire island is quite small, and you can quickly walk around it. If you like to watch the sunset, you can also do so at Little Qingdao Park, where the view from the island is another different scenery.

I went to Qingdao to feed seagulls in March
I picked a weekend with good weather and flew from Wuhan to Qingdao for fun. I didn't do much planning; I just wanted to stroll by the seaside and feed the seagulls from Siberia~
Day1️⃣: Took the 9:05 am flight and arrived at Qingdao Jiaodong Airport at 10:50. I never expected the airport to be so far from the city center (1h45min by subway, 1h by taxi). Eventually, my friend and I chose to take a taxi (which included a 17¥ toll fee), and from afar, I saw the vast, sparkling blue sea🌊! I was prepared for the sea not to be very blue in winter, but Qingdao proved me wrong with its beautiful weather and stunning sea. We reached the hotel around noon, had a meal nearby at 'Chef General's Roasted Elbow', which was both large in portion and tasty, especially the Zen tea tofu - amazing! Then we strolled to 📍Qinyu Road, which was so beautiful, wow! Qingdao's attractions are concentrated, and you can walk through Qinyu Road - Lu Xun Park - Badaguan - Little Qingdao, and more~ We also visited the German Prison (not interested), checked in at the seaside coffee shop VANILLA, and saw a gorgeous sunset there... In the evening, we went to Taidong Pedestrian Street, tried frozen pears, and I suggest those with sensitive teeth to taste with caution🥶
Day2️⃣: Woke up at 9:30 am by the alarm, had a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, and then headed to 📍Zhan Bridge to feed the seagulls. It was Sunday and we arrived late, so the bridge was already crowded, which was not a great experience... So we strolled to the Catholic Church, took some photos, and then took a taxi to Xiaoyushan (because it's closer to the sea, we gave up on Signal Hill). It's a very small hill, but the view of Qingdao's yellow walls and red tiles from Xiaoyushan is also beautiful~ We also visited the Beer Museum. In the evening, we had dinner at 'Bo Luo You Zi', didn't like the sea intestine rice, but the large shrimp pan-fried dumplings were fresh and juicy. The Qingdao old fried meat was nothing special to try, but their freshly made pear juice was really delicious! I miss it a lot after returning to Wuhan🥰
Day3️⃣: Another day of waking up naturally and strolling around. We didn't get to Zhan Bridge until almost 11 am, and since it was Monday, there were noticeably fewer people feeding the seagulls. We took many beautiful photos! The seagulls are so cute! You only need a piece of fried dough stick to attract the seagulls! After feeding the seagulls, we walked along Xilingxia Road, strolled along the coastline to 📍Tuandao Farmers Market. Although it wasn't the season for mantis shrimps, we still bought mantis shrimps, bread crabs, clams, and had them cooked at a place in the market (seems to be called 'Xi Zi Seafood Processing'). The taste was just normal; next time I'll wait for the season to go to Liangguang to eat mantis shrimps as long as my forearm! Had some Qingdao beer, I only love the blueberry fruit beer☺️ I must say! Qingdao's strawberries🍓 are incredibly sweet, all go for it! Our flight was at 6:30 pm, so we headed to the airport after 3 pm. It was still sunny when we got on the subway, but the weather changed drastically by the time we reached the airport. Fortunately, my trip was already perfectly complete~
Qingdao is indeed a clean city, and taking a taxi is very convenient... The sea breeze is strong, unless you are very tough, it's better to obediently wear a hat and scarf (from the personal experience of someone who was blown by the wind until tears and snot were flowing)...

3 Download "Qingdao Subway", the city mainly relies on subway bus network car, unfamiliar do not drive
4 Qingdao does not have a small yellow car
5 The trestle is very popular in winter, more people than seagulls
6 University Road net red wall holidays must queue, Longjiang Road graffiti wall is not long, the surrounding small road good shot
7 Delicious do not just know Taitung, you can go to Minjiang Road, Kaohsiung Road, Zhangzhou Second Road there, Licun night market is also okay

Winter Qingdao Travel Guide ~ Regret if you don't see it
I went there in February last year, it's another year so quickly, I still miss it now.
💞Three-day route:
1️⃣Day one: Catholic Church → Zhanqiao → Lu Xun Park → Qinyu Road
💫Murmurs: I arrived at noon so I only arranged the afternoon itinerary, I stayed near the train station (not highly recommended, far from the center), it is recommended to stay near the subway station, the main transportation in Qingdao is the subway, which can reach the scenic spots.
.
In winter, you can feed seagulls at Zhanqiao. Seagulls generally only eat fried dough sticks. There are sold nearby, but the prices vary. Everyone must ask more and choose the cheapest‼️
.
From the Catholic Church, you can reach Zhanqiao all the way, and you can walk to Lu Xun Park and Qinyu Road along Zhanqiao. There is a distance, and you can also take a taxi or subway bus if you don't want to walk.
—
2️⃣Day two: University Road → Xiaoyushan (Signal Hill) → First Seawater Bathing Beach → Second Seawater Bathing Beach → Xiaomai Island → Third Seawater Bathing Beach → or Olympic Sailing Center (May Fourth Square)
💫Murmurs: University Road is just a check-in point, it's okay if you are not interested, but there is an art museum next to University Road that you can go in and see. If you go further, it is Xiaoyushan. Xiaoyushan and Signal Hill are both for viewing Qingdao's red houses. I prefer Xiaoyushan because you can see the bathing beach, and you can walk down directly in a few steps, and the journey is more smooth.
.
The second bath is a bridge that goes out along the sea. This place feels worth going, but it also depends on the tide. It was relatively high when I went.
.
Go to Xiaomai Island to watch the sunset, the location is very suitable, it is recommended to find a good position, I sat on the rocks by the sea later, very comfortable, remember to pick a good weather‼️‼️‼️Very important.
.
Generally, choose one of the three bathing beaches and pass two. I went to all of them. I feel it's worth going. It is recommended to go to the third bath at night, you can see the lights, and there are people setting off fireworks by the sea. It's beautiful. The Olympic Sailing Center is next to May Fourth Square, you can go together, or you can arrange to go on the first day.
—
3️⃣Day three: Shilaoren Bathing Beach → Laoshan
💫Murmurs: It is recommended to go to Shilaoren early, you must go early‼️‼️‼️The sunrise time is very fast, I didn't catch up😭😭😭I set off at about five o'clock and didn't arrive until nearly six o'clock. The sun has already come out. There are coffee shops and libraries nearby to visit. Laoshan and Shilaoren are in the same direction, you can go together, go and see the coastal road, but I went to Jinan in the afternoon and didn't go to Laoshan. You can pick up some starfish and shells in the morning at Shilaoren, it's fun.
This season is so suitable for going to Qingdao! I spent three hours sorting out the complete guide to Qingdao tourism📝 Eating, drinking, and shopping are all in this article!

The seagulls from Siberia have come to Qingdao, aren't you coming yet?
Qingdao has always been a small fishing village, and it emerged under a very special historical background in modern times. Shen Congwen spent the happiest time of his life in Qingdao; Liang Shiqiu said it 'makes people linger and can't bear to leave', Kang Youwei said it 'red tiles and green trees, green mountains and blue sea, is the first in China', and these eight words later became the slogan of Qingdao tourism~
When you come to Qingdao, see the gorgeous classical architecture, red-tiled houses, and the dreamy blue sea, I think this question already has an answer.
Sharing some of my favorite moments in Qingdao🌊
1⃣️Zhanqiao Pier
Every year from October to April of the following year, seagulls from Siberia migrate through Qingdao, and feeding seagulls is really super healing.
2⃣️Xiaomai Island
There are two very photogenic spots on the island, one is 'The Lonely Tree', and the other is the real version of the Miyazaki Hayao anime world.
3⃣️Signal Hill
Wait for a 16:18 sunset in Qingdao here, watching the sky change from orange to blue to dusk🌆, it's really beautiful!
4⃣️Longjiang Road
The 24/7 coffee shop, the popular graffiti wall are all here, you can walk and take pictures all the way.
5⃣️Yan'er Island
Coastal trail, you can walk all the way to the Olympic Sailing Center, which hosted the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
6⃣️Sea Love Park
Navigate to the Flower God Sea Coffee, get off the car and walk for 2min to get there.
7⃣️Fushan Road
The filming location of 'Little Red Flower', Wei Yihang's home is at No. 30 Fushan Road.
8⃣️Golden Beach
In the off-season, you can stay in a sea-view room for two or three hundred, and you can find a sea that belongs to you alone everywhere, which is super suitable for taking pictures with a tripod by yourself🤳

The unobstructed seaside park in Shandong has amazing scenery and not many tourists!
Qingdao's most popular scenic spots are generally sea water baths and trestles, Badaguan, Lushan and other sightseeing spots. Because Qingdao's tourism resources are too rich, some attractions are naturally left out by foreign tourists, Lu Xun Park is representative.
This park is open to the public free of charge. It is not far from Xiao Qingdao and the Naval Museum. It is one of the most beautiful parks in Qingdao Bay. Here, Qingsong, red reef, clear water, winding path and pavilion, red sun, distant mountains, and urban architecture complement each other to form a beautiful romantic, with a little lyrical picture in the atmosphere, which makes people intoxicated.
Lu Xun Park is famous for the light of the major attractions in Qingdao. Only locals and tourists who live nearby will come to visit. Other tourists rarely come to check in. The park is relatively long and narrow, with a bright foreground and background. The building and the pine are the perfect embellishments, regardless of whether you take a photo or a portrait.
Lu Xun Park Although you can't see the sunset falling off the horizon, you can see the sunset descending in the middle of the building, and then the west sky is reflected in orange, the scene is like a painting, and there is a foreign country against the backdrop of the foreign building. The sentiment, which also shows the cultural tolerance of Qingdao.
Lu Xun Park is located in the south of Qingdao Laiyang Road, west of Huiquan Bay, east of the first bathing beach and Qingdao Aquarium. It is a good place to relax, listen to the waves, blow and sit quietly. At dusk, the evening breeze, the glow is faint, the ferry is busy in the bay, and the beauty is in the heart.
Because there are relatively few tourists, there is a feeling of being at ease in Lu Xun Park.
Qingsong dense and red reef dense is the biggest feature of Lu Xun Park. In the position near the sea, the red reef is covered with oysters and other creatures. In the cracks of the rock, there may be some small crabs or shellfish.
