🌸 The Garden Hotel 🌸
Had the great pleasure to stay at the Garden Hotel for 3 nights and 4 days with my friend and her daughter and it was a great experience.
The staff were all so kind and helpful, the facilities were taken care of and clean. We were specifically looking for a hotel with an outdoor pool and The Garden Hotel offered one! We were served at the pool with drinks and wet towels, which was nice. 😌
We also went and had afternoon tea! It was all well worth the price we paid! Beautiful view (waterfall), yummy food and kind staff. Carrie was serving us and was very friendly, helpful and gave us some background context about the afternoon tea.
Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely come back again! ☺️

Awesome staycation... ish (coming from Zhuhai). Lovely bit of luxury and romance and you don't even have to leave the hotel if staying a couple of nights like we did. Lots of restaurants inside, even of Michelin star caliber. Oh and a waterfall of course...
The staff are outstanding. You don't have to be a king and queen but you will be treated like you are.
Anyway, you have to stay here it is a world-beating hotel, the waterfall is unique and a bit special. For some nice classic grandeur and old school hospitality that is just unbeatable it's a winner.

The Cost-Effectiveness & Ceiling of Guangzhou's Five-Star Hotels
➡️ Guangzhou Garden Hotel, when traveling to Guangzhou, one simply cannot overlook this hotel. It is one of the only three Platinum Five-Star hotels in China, exuding elegance and nobility as a Platinum hotel, as well as a classic legend 😎
➡️ The hotel itself is a tourist attraction with its 20,000 square meters of Lingnan gardens, waterfalls, pavilions, towers, and small bridges over flowing water, offering an endlessly beautiful scenery
➡️ As you enter the lobby, you can see art pieces everywhere, with hand-painted lacquer paintings from Yangjiang, 'Hundred Beauties' and 'Hundred Horses', hanging on both sides of the entrance hall. The background wall of the lobby is a huge gilded mural of 'Dream of the Red Chamber'
➡️ Another noteworthy mention is their restaurant. The Taoyuan Pavilion has been a Michelin-selected restaurant since Guangzhou started rating Michelin restaurants, serving high-end Cantonese fusion cuisine. Liwan Pavilion, also a Michelin Guide selected restaurant, serves traditional Cantonese dishes and dim sum
➡️ What's particularly impressive is that the only museum in the country themed around the hospitality industry is also located here, with a whopping 1600㎡ and six permanent exhibition halls.
➡️ The hotel is fully equipped with facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool, and the rooms are well-appointed with everything you could need. Most notably, they boast an oversized bathtub 🛁, which makes for a truly relaxing soak~ and the large floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unparalleled view
In summary, this hotel's cost-effectiveness is second to none, and it is simply the ceiling of cost-effectiveness among Guangzhou's five-star hotels, worthy of a stay

This is the early CBD of retro Guangzhou, not mini Hong Kong!!
Recently, Taojin in Guangzhou has become popular due to its simple and retro architecture
Many people call it mini Hong Kong, Guangzhou is Guangzhou
Taojin 40 years ago, the former Guangzhou CBD🏙️
Guangzhou was not so prosperous and dazzling 40 years ago
There was no Zhujiang New Town, and the Canton Tower had not been built yet
There were only Garden Hotel, Friendship Store, Lipo Plaza...
For Guangzhou people, this is the most commercialized place
·
The simple architectural light and shadow near Taojin Subway A exit
You can see it as soon as you go down the stairs on the right, it has a good texture on sunny days
Friendship Store, Garden Hotel, and Good World Plaza at Taojin B exit
They are all representative buildings of Taojin🏠
Good World Plaza has won the 'Engineering Construction Luban Award'
Very low-key, really underestimated!
·
Go down the slope next to the Garden Hotel
It's the street leading to Jianshe Avenue
If you have time, you can slowly explore the small streets and alleys✨
Here are all the various lives of the old Cantonese!
Have a city walk in the old city area on weekends

Guangzhou·Exploring Shop|If you want to stay, stay in a hotel with good Feng Shui
|If you want to stay, stay in a hotel with good Feng Shui.
◆Location|A magnificent building on Huan Shi East Road, the garden hotel at the entrance is inscribed by Grandpa Deng. There are quite a few small restaurants around, a shopping mall is across the street, and the Taojin subway station is about 400-500 meters to the right.
▲Reservation|It should be searchable on several platforms, with slightly different prices. A deposit of 500 yuan is required for check-in.
Catering|The famous 'Waterfall Restaurant' can be dined separately without staying. There are also some other separate restaurants, such as Liwan Pavilion, Michelin Taoyuan Pavilion, etc.
√Environment|In addition to the bling bling decoration inside the hotel, the waterfall is a major feature. The flowing water brings continuous wealth, and sitting under the waterfall also gives a sense of impending wealth; the classical garden greening, the strong architectural style, the koi in the pond, give a very energetic feeling. Although Huan Shi East is not as prosperous as it used to be, from the perspective of location selection, it must be a Feng Shui treasure.

The Ritz-Carlton hotel that even Shangri-La cannot surpass.
The highest-end hotel brand in the Marriott hotel system; unbeatable exotic atmosphere; extremely gorgeous interior decoration; rare hall-style layout in the luxurious hotel lobby.
In the past few decades, there have been more and more hotels in large hotels that highlight Eastern elements or Eastern aesthetics. Those known domestically early on include Guangzhou China Hotel, Guangzhou Garden Hotel, Guangzhou White Swan Hotel, Macau Grand Lisboa Hotel, Foshan Grand Mercure Hotel, Hong Kong The Peninsula Hotel, Guangzhou The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and Shangri-La Hotel. Later, the equally internationally renowned Mandarin Oriental Hotel entered the mainland from Hong Kong.
With the successful development of Shanghai Xintiandi and Foshan Lingnan Tiandi by Hong Kong Rui'an Real Estate Company as community shopping centers featuring characteristic architectural groups as shops, in the past decade, a large number of domestic or foreign brand hotels have followed suit, all taking Chinese local culture as their theme. For example, Guangzhou Kempinski Hotel, Guangzhou Rongchuang Shibaoge Hotel, Guangzhou Conrad Hotel, and Guangzhou Fuli Jun Yue Hotel.
The so-called Lingnan style concept has been overused by various high-end or low-end hotels, commercial streets, and shopping malls. Similarly, logos with fish and ocean as the theme or decorations with wood art as the core also frequently appear in Hilton or Hyatt hotels without surprise.
Fortunately, in Guangzhou, there is still a foreign luxury five-star hotel that is faithful to the brand's original cultural background and positioning, and guests won't guess the wall and hanging decorations inside just by standing at the entrance.
That is the Guangzhou Ritz-Carlton Hotel under the name of the Evergrande Group. It's a good hotel, but its popularity is relatively low in China. Compared to the luxurious decoration of the Shangri-La, it can be said to be only high and not low, but it excels in details. If you look closely at Figure 7 and Figure 8, such animal shapes are definitely not elements in Eastern culture. They are quite similar to the griffins in the famous game company's game "Heroes of Might and Magic" which were originally designed based on ancient Greek mythology.
The last attached picture is also an example. Public restrooms are so beautiful, and there is a handwashing sink like this at each end of a men's restroom. In Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, only The Ritz-Carlton probably has such luxury.
The lobby for check-in at luxury hotels nowadays is mostly located on the ground floor, with a few exceptions on higher floors, but the common feature is occupying a large space on a whole floor to express a grand feeling with an open floor plan. However, this hotel adopts a very rare small hall layout, which may seem difficult to understand but is conducive to customers appreciating the details of the hotel. Thinking outside the box leads to great results, after all, the hotel has spent a lot of money on decoration.
