#weekendgetaways
I will forever cherish Kuching because it was a place dear to my family. Plus it has been my annual visit spot especially to attend Rainforest Music Festival at the Sarawak Cultural Village.
The place itself has its own charmn housing range of accommodations/stays of the indigeneous people of Sarawak. You can learn different cultures and backgrounds of Bidayuh, Iban, Kelabit just to name a few.
And im pretty sure u gonna love the majestic mountain that fills the blue green scenery of that place
A must visit place if you’re in Kuching! 😸
Sarawak Cultural Village also known as Kampung Budaya Sarawak, is a very popular attraction near Kuching, in the state of Sarawak. Here you can experience local tribes in their authentic homes; you can learn their customs by participating in one of many workshops. The village is actually a living museum. Sarawak used to be inhabited by many different tribes that roamed the forests. Nowadays there are still tribes in Sarawak, but most of them live far away from civilization, deep in the jungles of Borneo.
Tourists can learn about the many different tribes of Borneo. Within the village you can see many typical tribal houses, many of them are known as longhouses. Here a family or sometimes even multiple families lived together.
Highlight of a visit to the Sarawak Cultural Village is the dance performance where professional dancers depict numerous traditional dances; each dance originates from a different tribe. We were pleasantly surprised by this performance. There were quite a few hilarious moments during the 45 minute lasting show.
A must visit if you’re in Kuching!

Sunbear Festival 2022
Over the weekend, one of Kuching’s biggest and highly anticipated music festivals took place at Sarawak Cultural Village. This 2 day festival promised great music and great vibes which did not disappoint. However, sadly, just hours before the 2nd day of the concert, the organizers announced that one of their main acts was unable to make it for the festival. But that did not deter festival goers from going all out to performances by Ramengvrl, Phum Viphurit, Bunkface, Kilms, FUR, Reality Club and many more! #music #festival

📍Kampung Budaya Sarawak
Harga Tiket : (Orang Semenanjung)
Dewasa : RM60/orang
Kanak-kanak : RM30/orang
So, rancanglah perjalanan anda sebelum ke Kampung Budaya.
Jadi, setiap negeri ada keunikan tersendiri serta Sarawak juga terkenal dengan budaya dan etnik yang pelbagai. So far best kat sini sebab bandar dia tak busy macam semenanjung. 😍
Exploring culture in Borneo!
See Sarawak in Half a Day” is the claim made by Sarawak Cultural Village, a unique award-winning living museum offering an excellent introduction to local cultures and lifestyles.
One of Malaysia’s best-known and most iconic cultural attractions, Sarawak Cultural Village is a unique award-winning living museum offering and exciting and informative introduction to local cultures and lifestyles. Nine authentic replica buildings represent every major ethnic group in Sarawak; Bidayuh, Iban and Orang Ulu longhouses, a Penan jungle settlement, a Melanau tall-house, a Malay town house, a Chinese farmhouse and pagoda. Each is staffed with members of their respective ethnic groups, in traditional costume, carrying out traditional activities. Every house has a “storyteller” who is an expert in describing and interpreting traditional cultures and lifestyles.
After touring the village, visitors can enjoy a multi-cultural dance performance in the village’s own theatre, or even take dance, music and craft lessons. There is also a good ethnic restaurant and a handicrafts shop on-site. Other attractions and amenities include; a Sulpture Garden; the Rainforest Music House, with traditional instruments and interactive music workshops; and the Dewan Legenda (Hall of Legends), a creative space complete with dance studio, library, information centre, costume gallery, lecture hall and creativity room.

The Sarawak Cultural Village is a MUST visit destination for anyone who is visiting Sarawak, Malaysia Borneo, especially on a Family Adventure Vacation.
Located about 35km from Kuching city and tucked away on the foothills of legendary Mount Santubong, the Sarawak Cultural Village is built on a 14-acre site of equatorial vegetation, next to a scenic man-made lake.
Sometimes referred to as a living museum, the Village depicts the heritage of the major racial groups in Sarawak and conveniently portrays the respective lifestyle.
The village boasts seven ethnic houses representative of the Malay, the Chinese, the Penan and the longhouses of the Bidayuh, Iban, Orang Ulu and the Melanau.

A big culture village located near to Kuching, Sarawak. can experience on different culture of Malay, Chinese, Iban, Melanau and many more. The cultural performance which will be held 2 times in a day is indeed a must-watch one. You may spend whole day in the village and it will not be boring at all. There are restaurant and souvenir shop can be found in the village as well.
A must visit place in Sarawak!#sarawak #borneo
For those planning to visit Sarawak or Kuching, you should not miss this opportunity to visit this stunning living museum which is the only kind in the world.
When you are done visiting all the ethnic homes and watched the award-winning cultural show, you can relax and have some food at the only restaurant there called Restaurant Budaya.
This wood interior restaurant offers you various local food and drinks and even ice cream for the kids. I would highly recommend trying some of the local Sarawakian dishes here.
Half a day here is more than enough to visit some of these tribes, and homes across Sarawak will probably take you a couple of days.
Therefore by having this beautiful place, you can see the Sarawak in just one place at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Kuching.#sarawakculturalvillage #kuchingsarawak
