The Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum
The Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum is a very unique experience in that it is a museum inside a legendary aircraft carrier. At the museum you can view decommissioned planes, ships and other aircrafts that are no longer in service. It was founded in 1982 and is situated along the coast of New York’s famous Hudson River. It is just a short walk away from Times Square so it is very convenient to get to. There are guided tours scheduled throughout the day which are very informative, giving you history on all the amazing vehicles on display at the museum, You also get to tour into the inner hull of the aircraft carrier and see interesting things like the controls, missiles and living quarters. Lastly one of the highlights of the tour is the concord that is on display, one of the world’s fastest planes ever flown. #historicculture #historicalbuilding #museumquest

Such a treasure! Expansive collection of military planes. You also get a glimpse into what the life of over 3,000 crew and pilots was on this ship during various military conflicts. Such a rich and vivid history! You also learn about various tech that was used to command this floating town. There is even the Space Shuttle prototype on board. And you get an opportunity to visit a submarine “parked” next to Intrepid. Must see to understand the history!

Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum ✈️✨
A great place to explore with a lot of interesting information, aircraft and items to see. Much of the aircraft carrier is accessible so you really get the feel for what life as a serving sailor would have been like. The submarine is also similarly impressive. 😍
Exhibits were very interactive too with information being plentyful. All aircraft etc looked to be well looked to be a great condition and was great to get up close to all. I saw some of the aircraft carrier was still being restored and quite understandably as a restoration on this scale will take a significant amount of time. 🕙
I hope to return one day to find more of the aircraft carrier accessible! Definitely spend a day or at least 3 to 4 hours visiting this place, its certainly worth it! Will be recommending this place to family and friends. 🫶🏻

New York weekend, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
During my many years in New York, I always go out on weekends or holidays to explore. Last week, I discovered a treasure, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. I really feel that it is meaningful.
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is a military and maritime history museum in New York, showcasing various aircraft carriers, submarines, and reconnaissance planes, all of which are real equipment from the wartime.
Although I don't know much about airplanes myself, I do find them fascinating and I think these things are just too cool. The designers are truly great.
After watching it, I have recommended it to many friends. Everyone thinks it's very shocking. I think I will go again if I have time.

Boys' paradise! USS Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
Boys' paradise! USS Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
🏖️My boyfriend has always been interested in planes and such. In the second week of our trip to New York, he heard about the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and took the opportunity to drag me there during our break to check it out.
🏖️As soon as I arrived at the museum, I felt it was worth coming. Even someone like me who isn't interested in airplanes was shocked by the scene in front of me, not to mention my boyfriend! There are all kinds of aviation and aerospace equipment, showcasing the development history of American combat weapons during wartime in a vivid way.
💫The ticket price is $33, which I think is a great value for this lineup. If you have a boyfriend, you must bring him to see it. This is simply a man's paradise. I guarantee that everyone who comes here will be shocked.

After the soldiers retired, they will be forgotten. The fate of the warships is roughly two kinds. One is to be sunk on the battlefield, and the seabed is buried with infinite regret. The other is to bring the scars to the end of the war and retired. Even if the end of life is dead, most of the end of the life record can not escape the fate of being sent to the shipyard for dismantling. But there are still some warships that will have a much better result, which is to become a battleship museum for people to visit.
When I came to the Hudson River at Pier 85, the Intrepid aircraft carrier was like a giant beast. Before I came to New York, I really didnt know there was such a fascinating sight. As the world's few aircraft carriers to visit, the Intrepid is the biggest one. The
fearless aircraft carrier was launched for the first time on April 26, 1943. It was finally retired on March 15, 1974. It was awarded two naval collective awards and won five battle stars in World War II and Vietnam. Can be described as outstanding merits.
On March 15, 1974, the "Fearless" retired and was once ready to sell the dismantling, but with the efforts of civil society organizations, the Navy donated the "Intrepid" to New York City as a museum ship in 1981. In 1982, the "Fearless" was borrowed from the Navy. In the same year, the "Intrepid Sea and Air Museum" was officially opened to the public on the Hudson River. Since then, it has become an important landmark and tourist attraction in Manhattan.
JOJO’s wonderful trip.
At the Intrepid Museum of Land, Sea and Air, aircraft carriers, submarines, and aircraft
on the Hudson River on the west coast of Manhattan, New York, parked a real aircraft carrier. Today, around the "Fearless" aircraft carrier, the formation of a retired real aircraft carrier, submarine and a variety of aircraft, spacecraft composed of sea, land and air museum. Here, it is possible to "close contact" with military equipment that has participated in the Pacific War and the Vietnam War. Climbing up and down in the aircraft carrier, the F14 and F16 fighters no longer stay in the mouth of the military enthusiasts, but become close at hand. Listen to the naval grandfather volunteers who have served in the service to explain the structure of various instruments, and the equipment has The history is fresh.
