Our group of five flew from Helsinki, Finland to Oslo, Norway on May 26, 2018, to start a 6-day trip to Norway. Along the way, our main sightseeing spot was the world-famous fjords of Norway, but since we were in Oslo, we couldn't miss the representative attractions of this place - such as the ski jumping platform in Holmenkollen 🏂.
Holmenkollen is Norway's most famous ski resort 👍, located about 13 kilometers northeast of Oslo, with a towering peak of 371 meters above sea level. Although it is not high, in Norway, 'Holmenkollen' has the same meaning as 'Olympic' in Greece. Since 1892, a grand ski festival has been held on the first Sunday of March every year on Holmenkollen Mountain. At that time, skiers from all over the world will gather here, but unfortunately, I didn't catch up when I went there 😔.
And this time our sightseeing focus is the Holmenkollen ski jump (Holmenkollen ski Jump). This ski platform located halfway up the mountain is a sight of Holmenkollen Mountain. According to the online description, 'a cement pillar about a hundred meters high supports a ladder-like 'white rainbow', with a steep slope in the middle that gets wider as it goes down, with a slope length of more than 100 meters. The circular stands on all sides, like the stands of a football field, can accommodate tens of thousands of spectators 👍.
Brave buddies can also try the zip line at the top, it is said to be very exciting 🤩~
