Hamad International Airport Doha Qatar
Transited via Hamad International airport in Doha Qatar while flying to Budapest. The is a world class airport. It is a huge terminal with different section A-F. There are plenty of facilities in this airport like Qatar lounges, places to rest and relax, restaurants servicing middle eastern food and international food. There are also many display of art sculptures throughout the airport. Make sure you spend some time strolling in the terminal and will be of time well spent.

Hamad International Airport Doha Qatar
Flew to Europe and transited at Hamad International airport in Doha Qatar. This is one of the top class airport comparable to Changi Airport Singapore. One newer section of the terminal has unique design also similar to Changi Jewel but of smaller scale. The design is clever and using the natural light from the Sun. Walking along the bridge which cut across it give you a good overall view of the greenery patch which is planted with trees and beautiful plants. Really enjoy strolling in this area.

Qatar Platinum Lounge@Hamad Airport
Flew to Europe via Doha airport and had a chance to visit Qatar Platinum and Gold Lounge. It is located at level 2 and went to the newer lounge in North section of the terminal where gates C are located. It is a spacious lounge with a nice entry, greeted by friendly staffs. There are good selection of food and beverages and there is a menu to choose from for “all day dinning”. The rest area has plenty of semi recline seats for some comfort resting. There are also separate shower area with clean towels provided.

Transit at Hamad International Airport Doha Qatar, spent some time to explore this airport. There is a newer section where they have some water fountains with some live trees planted which is similar to Jewel Changi Singapore concept. It was a experience to stroll along this section of the airport. You can also find a number of spots to take. Ice photos with friends and families. There are also plenty of food and beverages outlets in this section of the airport. The next time you are in Doha airport, be sure you plan to take their sky train to section C where this is located.

Airport or village square
During a recent stopover in Doha I was pleasantly surprised by the, what looks new, food court area at Hamad international airport.
Rather than carpets (who ever thought carpets were a good idea in airports) in strange colours schemes passengers are welcomed by a light glass structure, matching stone floor and a park with trees, grass a water feature and even a bridge allowing you to walk through the treetops.
Passengers can sit in the park to relax between flights in the sun light streaming in through the large glass ceiling and walls or walk along the paths. Around the park there are several shops and restaurants giving the feel of a pleasant summer day in a small town.
Only minus point is the price of food and drink available which I found, even for airport standards, excessive. Luckily, I kept the bottle of water from my flight and drank that you could also have a refillable bottle with you. I enjoyed the stopover and continued my journey feeling relaxed.

Transit at Hamad International Airport (Doha)
Had spent some transit time at Doha, Qatar airport while returning from recent Budapest trip.
There is this section of the airport which is newly open and looks and feel like Jewel Singapore.
At this section, most of the restaurants are still in the progressive opening up stage.
If you are planning to visit or transit via Qatar, do explore this area of the airport, I believe is worth the time and effort.
There are also quite a lot of good locations for taking photos.
Enjoy!

Qatar Airport

Qatar is a small but beautiful Arabian country with some of the world's tallest buildings and well-preserved older buildings. It's also one of the richest countries in the world, with a high-income economy backed by its oil and natural gas reserves.
Doha is the capital city of Qatar and a top tourist destination. It has many attractions, including mosques, museums, deserts, waterside roads, and large desert dunes. Some say the Katara Mosque is unique for its color, design, and patterned tiles. Others praise the Arabic architecture, which features white sculpted stone carved into intricate patterns, and mosques with rich blue tilework#localguides #cherryblossom2024 #mytravelhacks #familytrip

What is the experience of transiting through Doha Airport like?
Previously, when transiting through the Middle East, I mostly chose Dubai, but this time I found Qatar to be a good option as well.
If it's just for a few hours, you can stroll around the airport. The rich have planted the largest indoor garden there, reminiscent of the Singapore indoor botanical gardens, and there are even transit passengers camping in the indoor forest .
Another spot to check out is the Lamp Bear, which, I heard, cost the rich six million dollars . Although it's indeed very large, I can't see why it's so expensive; maybe the rich just wanted to spend money...
Additionally, the airport has a monorail, which is different from the one at Pudong Airport that shuttles between terminals. This monorail is purely for those who don't want to walk too much.
Apart from the numerous duty-free luxury shops, there's even a duty-free shop for sports cars, which I don't quite understand. How do you take it home after buying it? Well, just cover it with a cloth, you're the richest in the world, as long as you're happy.
Actually, Doha Airport is very close to the city center of Doha, so if you have a day or two for transit, it's also nice to take a tour of the city, especially since it's visa-free. This time, on my way back from France to my home country, I stayed in Doha for two days, which allowed me to find cheaper tickets and also add another country to my list, which was quite nice.

Hamad International Airport
#cherryblossom2024 If you’re venturing through Doha, a stop at Hamad International Airport becomes not just a pause in your journey, but a highlight. The airport brilliantly blends ultra-modern amenities with touches of traditional charm, like its whimsically designed fake souq that transports you to the bygone era of market shopping. However, the true star of the airport is undoubtedly the enchanting giant bronze teddy bear at the heart of its bustling environment.
Standing in the center of the airport, this playful sculpture, often surrounded by awe-struck children and equally fascinated adults, serves as a delightful juxtaposition to the sleek, futuristic backdrop of one of the world’s most sophisticated airports. Created by Swiss artist Urs Fischer, the teddy bear under a lamp captures a sense of childhood wonder and nostalgia, inviting travelers to pause and relive a moment of innocence.
The airport’s design is an architectural marvel, boasting expansive spaces and an abundance of natural light that make long layovers a far more pleasant experience. From the efficient service to the impeccable cleanliness, Hamad International sets a standard that few can match. It’s no surprise that it has been named the best airport in the world multiple times.
In conclusion, Hamad International not only impresses with its state-of-the-art facilities and luxurious shopping options but also charms with its thoughtful incorporation of cultural elements. The giant bear, a beloved attraction, adds a heartwarming touch to the cutting-edge airport, making it a memorable part of any travel itinerary. Whether you’re a jet setter or a one-time traveler, this airport, with its perfect blend of modernity and tradition, promises an exceptional experience.

The best airline to travel with
This time it’s been quite long since last travel with Qatar Airlines. As everyone knows Due to pandemic travel was very limited. Nevertheless, this place never fails to amaze me. Had a 20hr long transfer, hotel and food was readily available along with a nice garden inside the Airport. The tiredness from the flight was felt even a little. Hope can have many more opportunities via Qatar in the future.

The interior design of Qatar's airport is amazing!
Before the World Cup, I didn't know about the country of Qatar.
Their airport's interior design is just too impressive; it embodies the concept of a technological utopia that I have in mind. It's on a completely different level compared to the domestic designs that combine a blue and purple color scheme with a cyberpunk tag.
Let me put it this way, being there gives you a dazzling feeling that you can't get enough of, and the electronic screen advertisements especially make you feel like you're in a cyber city from a movie.
It's just that the current technology can't replicate what's in the movies exactly, but the essence is definitely there.
P1–P8 Tropical rainforest design
Real grass and trees, combined with a tech-feel dome and arcade, naked-eye 3D displays.
P9 Naked-eye 3D display design
The dynamic effects are very delicate and refined.
P10 Water ripple design
Not just simple iterative water ripples, there's a side mechanism.
P11 Hanging artist sculptures
p12 Glass with gradient frosted texture design
